Kate Cassidy recalls meeting Liam Payne

Recently, Kate Cassidy shared with TikTok users how she met Liam Payne, revealing that their relationship had a unique start.

At the time, she was working at Ritual bar/lounge in California and had tried to get out of work on the night she met him, but ended up taking care of Liam’s table instead.

"When I first approached him, I got nervous and stopped and turned around. We made awkward eye contact for a second," Kate said, according to Daily Mail.

Liam had even commented to his friend Conor, "Oh my God, did you see that girl walking over here? I'm not leaving this bar until I get her number."

Despite her initial nervousness, the two connected and their relationship blossomed. "Every time I came to the table to check up on him, he'd be like 'sit down!'... I was picking up the sense that you're flirting with me," she shared.

Liam eventually asked for her number, though he didn’t realize he needed to add the country code +1, leading to some amusing mishaps.

She said Liam had been texting her but it went "green" with the One Direction star "literally freaking out," he then eventually put that +1, and the text went through.

Their first date turned into an adventurous whirlwind as they went from lunch to bowling and even took a ghost tour, with Kate joking that they had one of their first dates in a graveyard.

"Literally, everything happens for a reason. Don't get off work because you want to go to a party because you never know, you could end up meeting your future husband," she said at the time.
