Lip reader reveals what Jay-Z whispered in his wife Beyonce's ear after her Grammys win
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Beyonce's country-inspired album 'Cowboy Carter' won best album at the 67th Annual Grammys ceremony on Sunday night, February 2.
Soon after Beyonce's name was announced, Jay-Z seemed to whisper something in her ear. Some speculated it was about her wardrobe malfunction, yet a lip reader has revealed it was entirely a different message.

Beyonce becomes the first African-American woman to win a Grammy for Best Country Album
In addition to winning Album of the Year, Beyonce made history as she became the first African-American woman to win a Grammy for Best Country Album and the fourth African-American woman to win Album of the Year.
There to see Beyonce’s moment of glory were her husband, rap star Jay-Z, and their daughter, Blue Ivy.
The singer dedicated her award to Linda Martell, a pioneer among Black musicians in country music and the first Black woman to perform solo at the Grand Ole Opry.
The star's victory came 25 years after her first Grammy nomination as part of the R&B group 'Destiny's Child', according to BBC.
What did Jay-Z whisper in Beyonce's ear?
When award presenter Taylor Swift announced she won, Beyonce seemed shocked.
Beyonce hugged her daughter, Blue Ivy, then her husband Jay-Z, catching the moment her famous hubby hugged her and whispered something in her ear.
There were many speculations and jokes made online about what Jay-Z whispered in her ear. However, lip reader NJ Hickling has answered the question many are asking.
NJ revealed to The Mirror that Jay-Z whispered to Beyonce before she went on stage to accept her Grammy for Best Country Album, “Woah woah woah. Bout time! You’re a top girl."
Jay-Z's rant against Recording Academy for snubbing his wife
Despite Beyonce's groundbreaking win, some netizens attributed it was Jay-Z's rant against the Recording Academy last year when he called them for snubs against his wife Beyonce and told them to "get it right."
Taking to the stage to accept the Dr Dre Global Impact Award for his achievements in music in 2024, the rapper noted “how far we’ve come” since Will Smith and DJ Jazzy Jeff won the first rap Grammy in 1989.

"We want you to get it right; we love you, but we want you to get it right — at least get it close to right,” Jay-Z said of the Grammys as he stood alongside his daughter Blue Ivy Carter.
“Some of you may get robbed,” he said, adding, “Some of you don’t belong in the category.”
He said that “obviously” music is “subjective” and “opinion-based” but suggested Beyonce was well overdue for the honor of album of the year.
“I don’t want to embarrass this young lady, but she has more Grammys than everyone and never won album of the year,” he said.
"So even by your own metrics, that doesn’t work,” he continued, adding “Think about that: The most Grammys, never won album of the year.”
