Lip reader reveals Whoopi Goldberg's blunt answer to Demi Moore asking for photo at Oscars red carpet

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Demi Moore attended the 97th Academy Awards as one of the most favorite contenders to win the Best Actress Award at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, March 2. 

While the 62-year-old eventually lost the award to ‘Anora’ star Mikey Madison, ‘The Substance’ actress offered a number of memorable moments from the event for her fans to witness. 

Not only did the ageless beauty emerge as one of the best-dressed stars on the Oscars 2025 red carpet but also had a heartwarming interaction with Whoopi Goldberg when she reunited with her ‘Ghost’ co-star ahead of the main ceremony, The Mirror reported.

As the fans were fixated on Demi Moore’s exchange with her 'Ghost' co-star Whoopi Goldberg outside the Dolby Theatre ahead of the show’s commencement, lip reader NJ Hickling broke down the dynamic duo’s conversation.

Sharing a sweet moment before the ceremony started, Moore and Goldberg embraced and had a small conversation while holding hands with the duo gazing into each other’s eyes. 

The lip reader revealed that as they started with pleasantries, Goldberg replied, “I’m fine.”

Soon, the ‘Charlie’s Angels’ actress proposed to Goldberg to pose for a photo, revealed Hickling. When Moore suggested, “Let’s get a photo,” Goldberg replied, “Together, I’d like to.”

Hickling further revealed that Moore complimented ‘The Color Purple’ actress, saying that she looked “cute” in her off-shoulder metallic gown. 

The duo, who previously shared the screen in the 1990 film ‘Ghost’, further had an emotional exchange, eliciting nostalgia from the fans. 

Goldberg won her first Oscar for her role of a psychic in the film, where she helped Moore’s character reconnect with the spirit of her deceased partner, played by the late Patrick Swayze.
