Lizzo stands proudly for Detroit and Kamala Harris

This whimsical moment follows Lizzo’s recent appearance at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit, where she endorsed the Democratic candidate for president.

In her speech, she addressed Donald Trump’s criticism of the city, declaring, “All the best things were made in Detroit: Coney dogs, Faygo, and Lizzo. I’m so proud to be from this city,” reported OK!

Lizzo further emphasized, "You know, they say if Kamala wins, then the whole country will be like Detroit. OK. Proud like Detroit. Resilient like Detroit. We’re talking about the same Detroit that innovated the auto industry and the music industry. So put some respect on Detroit’s name."

Trump had denigrated Detroit during a recent rally in Michigan. “I think Detroit and some of our areas makes us a developing nation,” the former president said.

He said people want him to say Detroit is “great,” but he thinks it “needs help".

Earlier this month, Trump had told an economic group in Detroit that the “whole country will end up being like Detroit” if Harris wins the presidency. This comment drew harsh criticism from Democrats who praised the city for its recent drop in crime and growing population.
