WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was dragged online after she criticized President Donald Trump's decision to attack Iran, calling it “another senseless foreign war.”

The MAGA diehard took to X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday, June 22, a day after the US strikes on Iran, to share a lengthy post with her thoughts on the US bombing Iran.

The congresswoman wrote, “I’m 51 years old. I’m GenX. I’ve watched our country go to war in foreign lands for foreign causes on behalf of foreign interests for as long as I can remember. I was in 10th grade when Desert Storm started and my father before me was sent to Vietnam, another senseless foreign war."

“America is $37 TRILLION in debt and all of these foreign wars have cost Americans TRILLIONS AND TRILLIONS of dollars that never benefited any American,” she pointed out.

Marjorie Taylor Greene also said that she’s “sick” of American troops being killed “and forever torn apart physically and mentally for regime change, foreign wars, and for military industrial base profits.”

The far-right politician is one among many MAGA supporters who have called out Trump’s decision. Even Tucker Carlson was not in favor of the US striking Iran, for which an angry Trump called him “kooky.”

Later, the Republican leader claimed that Carlson “called and apologized the other day because he thought he had said things that were a little bit too strong, and I appreciate that," as per The Daily Beast.

Marjorie Taylor Greene demands ‘great trade deals’ from Trump administration

Meanwhile, Marjorie Taylor Greene's post did not end there as she stated that she “can easily say I support nuclear armed Israel’s right to defend themselves and also say at the same time I don’t want to fight or fund nuclear armed Israel’s wars. Nor any other country for that matter.”

"I’m sick of funding foreign aid and foreign countries and foreign everything," the Georgia politician wrote, before listing the things she expects from the Trump administration.

She said, “I want to fund American interests and issues. I want GREAT trade deals so American businesses and people can afford goods and be successful. I want low inflation and low interest rates. I want American construction, housing, and manufacturing to BOOM.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene fears Iran might attack US

But to tone down her criticism against Donald Trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene added, “I can also support President Trump and his great administration on many of the great things they are doing while disagreeing on bombing Iran and getting involved in a hot war that Israel started.”

“That’s not disloyalty. Critical thinking and having my own opinions is the most American thing ever,” she insisted.

Concluding her post, Greene expressed her fear of Iran’s retaliation against the US.

“Americans now fear Iranian terrorist attacks on our own soil and being dragged into another war by Netanyahu when we weren’t even thinking about any of this a week ago,” she posted.

She also asserted that “we don’t know what the future holds and I pray for the safety of all people and an end to the constant demand for America to go to war. Enough is enough.”

But people were critical of Marjorie Taylor Greene on X, with one writing, “Some Americans killed by Iran Should I post all 1,241 pictures?”

Another stated, “On the topic of American lives stolen by the Islamic regime of Iran, see list below. You represent some of these families in your district. You should be ashamed of your statement. Do you think it’s America first to distort US history? On the topic of who attacked first, it wasn’t Israel. Trump’s 'National Security Presidential Memorandum' (Feb 2025): ‘Iran bears responsibility for the horrific Hamas massacres committed on October 7, 2023…’ DOJ Criminal Charges (Sept 2024): The U.S. charged top Hamas leaders, including Yahya Sinwar, stating they ‘orchestrated the attack with support from Iran…’ This isn’t secretive data… you should have known all of this by now... And I’m not even getting into other disagreements I have with this word salad. These were just the most glaring factual inaccuracies.”

A person remarked, “You should resign in disgrace! ‘You don’t know anyone killed by Iran’… try every soldier killed by their proxy’s.”

“Iranian proxies in America! Usually support you, but you are on the wrong side on this issue!” another tweet read.

“President Trump has never let us down. He's earned our trust. Shame on you, Tucker Carlson. Shame on you, Candace Owens. Shame on you, Alex Jones. Shame on you, Steve Bannon. Shame on you, MTG,” one more expressed.
