TORONTO, CANADA: Matt Damon was seen holding Jennifer Lopez’s hand during an intimate conversation at the Toronto International Film Festival amid the ‘Jenny From The Block’ singer’s ongoing divorce with Ben Affleck. 

Earlier, it was reported that Damon, who is a close friend of Lopez’s ex, engaged in a "long, deep conversation” with the actress at the TIFF afterparty that was held at the Ritz-Carlton’s EPOCH Bar & Kitchen Terrace.



 

Onlookers previously noted that the ‘Jason Bourne’ actor and the ‘Let’s Get Loud’ songstress talked for over 20 minutes at the afterparty following their group photo on the red carpet with the ‘Unstoppable’ cast, including Don Cheadle, Jharrel Jerome, and Bobby Cannavale.

Matt Damon holds Jennifer Lopez’s hand to show support

An insider previously revealed to People that Jennifer Lopez was sitting at a table with Matt Damon's wife, Luciana, and her 'Unstoppable' co-star Don Cheadle when Damon joined the group.

The source said, “Jen and Matt began talking and had a long, deep conversation.”

Damon, who is also a friend of Lopez because of her history of relationship with Affleck, appeared to support the 55-year-old actress by holding her hand during the conversation. 



 

Now, photographs of the two old friends have surfaced as they held hands with the 53-year-old actor seemingly lending his support to Lopez, per Page Six.

Damon was present at the TIFF to promote the movie 'Unstoppable' based on wrestler Anthony Robles’ life. It has been produced by his and Affleck’s Artists Equity.

Lopez, on the other hand, starred in the film as Robles’ mother - Judy. 

Her red carpet appearance at the TIFF marks her first one since filing for divorce from Ben Affleck on August 20.

The ‘Maid in Manhattan’ star sparkled in a revealing blingy silver Tamara Ralph gown for her outing. The mother-of-two completed her look with a Judith Leiber purse, Dolce & Gabbana platform heels, and jewelry from Hassanzadeh.

Matt Damon earlier showed support for Ben Affleck

Matt Damon found himself in a difficult situation as his two friends parted ways after two years of marriage. 

Damon, and his wife Luciana, have previously shown support for  Ben Affleck after they were seen having dinner together in a Los Angeles eatery, Toscana. 

It was reported that Affleck appeared in the diner in a jolly mood and joined Damon’s family in the restaurant.

Jennifer Lopez admits she is a 'bad picker'

Matt Damon, however, is not the only friend with whom Jennifer Lopez had a candid chat about her divorce as it appeared. She had another chat with her 'Unstoppable' co-star Bobby Cannavale as well. 

In a video shared by The Hollywood Reporter on TikTok, the 'Atlas' star can be seen talking to Bobby Cannavale on the red carpet ahead of the movie’s premiere.



 

In the video, she can be overheard admitting to Cannavale, "I'm a bad picker.”

After the actor struggled to understand her words for the first time, Lopez repeated the phrase multiple times before joking, “It is what it is.”
