Reyes sisters badly injured while celebrating Chiefs' Super Bowl win

The Reyes sisters were among three people injured when a gunman opened fire on the victory parade in downtown Kansas City. Over one million jubilant Chiefs fans lined the parade route to celebrate the team's Super Bowl LVIII victory over the San Francisco 49ers.

Tragically, the gunfire wounded the two little girls as they stood with their family taking in the festivities. Both sisters suffered gunshot wounds to their legs and remain hospitalized at Children's Mercy hospital in stable condition.

In addition to the sisters, 19 individuals sustained varying degrees of injuries in the shooting. Tragically, a woman was also killed when the shots rang out. The family of the deceased victim also received assistance from pop superstar Taylor Swift, who donated $100,000 to help cover expenses.
