LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Prince Harry has reportedly shocked and "blindsided" Meghan Markle with an unexpected desire to have a third child.

The Duke of Sussex, 40, is said to have changed his mind about expanding their family - a shift that has caught Markle completely off guard.

Prince Harry feels it will be 'good for their children to have a sibling'

The couple, who live in Montecito, California, with their two children, Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 3, marked their seventh wedding anniversary on May 19.

But insiders claim the couple is now at odds over the future of their family.

According to a RadarOnline source close to the couple, Harry believes another baby would benefit the whole family and not just himself.

“Harry insists wanting another child isn’t just about him. He sees the special bond his kids have and believes it would be good for them to have a sibling,” said the source.

However, Meghan reportedly has a very different view.

“But this isn't the way Meghan sees it. Her first two pregnancies were tough, and so was getting back in shape," added the source.

The source continued, "All she is interested in now is having lunch with showbiz pals, begging A-listers to come on her podcast and trying to be the next Martha Stewart or Gwyneth Paltrow with her cringey 'lifestyle' brand,” the source continued.

Meghan Markle wants to focus on As Ever lifestyle brand and public reentry

The Duke and Duchess stepped back from their royal duties in January 2020 and have since focused on personal and professional projects in the US, though their journey has come with significant public scrutiny.

Meghan, 43, is reportedly not ready for another pregnancy at this stage in her life.

“It's come as a big shock to Meghan, because Harry never suggested he wanted a big family. At this point in her life, another pregnancy is not something she's ready for,” the insider said.

The former 'Suits' star is currently prioritizing her lifestyle brand, As Ever, which she launched earlier this year as part of her return to public life.

She has also rejoined Instagram to promote her work and is committed to building momentum in her showbiz career.

A source stated, “Meghan is just all about work at the moment and she absolutely will not ruin that – not even for another baby.”

Prince Harry sees baby as way to strengthen home amid royal estrangement

Harry reportedly believes that welcoming a third child could help solidify their tight-knit family life, especially as their children grow up without royal cousins or close extended family nearby.

The Sussexes remain estranged from Prince Harry’s father, King Charles, 76, and his brother, Prince William, 41, following the fallout from Harry’s memoir 'Spare' and multiple interviews criticizing the royal institution.

Harry recently sought reconciliation with the royal family in a BBC interview, which has reportedly backfired due to his discussion of King Charles cancer diagnosis and allegations regarding their role in his lost legal battle over UK security.

“Meghan's totally torn by this situation,” said the insider per RadarOnline, suggesting the couple's differing priorities may be adding tension behind closed doors.
