Meghan Markle convinced Prince Harry she could 'make them stars' in Hollywood, says royal expert
MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Despite a high-profile move to Hollywood, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's quest for success in the entertainment industry hasn't gone as planned.
According to royal commentator Tina Brown, Markle initially convinced Prince Harry that she was a “savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could make them stars,” leading Harry to trust her expertise in carving out their niche in the entertainment industry.
Meghan Markle 'persuaded' while Prince Harry 'blindly followed her'
However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's ventures have not completely met expectations, fueling speculation about the couple’s future direction.
Reflecting on Markle's career before royalty, Brown noted that she “persuaded him that she was the savvy Hollywood wheeler-dealer who could come in and make them stars… He just sort of blindly followed her like a child, really.”
The pair’s Hollywood journey began in 2020 when they launched Archewell Productions, aiming to create impactful content.
My thoughts exactly..."She convinced him that she was a big Hollywood wheeler dealer and Harry just blindly followed her like a child".

However, recent projects have reportedly faced challenges in gaining the expected traction, leading the couple to explore solo ventures.
Commentator Kinsey Schofield pointed out a rising tension between them professionally, stating, “I think professionally, she's trying to upstage him, he's trying to upstage her, so it goes from bad to worse.”
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's evolving career paths
Initially, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle launched their podcast, 'Archetypes', as a united front. Royal editor Richard Eden explained that “it was very much them together… but for whatever reason—whether it's Meghan or Harry—they’ve decided that’s not the way to go.”
In late 2020, the couple signed a podcast deal with Spotify. However, the partnership was not renewed, as they reportedly did not meet the productivity requirements necessary for the full payout.

Prince Harry has increasingly pursued solo projects, traveling to New York, London, and Lesotho to continue his humanitarian work, a legacy he began during his time as a working royal.
“What Harry seems to be doing is focusing on philanthropy," Eden observed, highlighting the Invictus Games and his WellChild patronage as examples of his impactful solo efforts.
According to royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams, these engagements have resonated positively with the public. “The various engagements he has undertaken are for a whole variety of charities, on his own, and I think they’ve all gone extremely well,” Fitzwilliams said.
Prince Harry's heartfelt return to Britain for WellChild Awards
Recently in September, Prince Harry returned to Britain for the WellChild Awards, where his heartfelt interactions with children reminded the public of his longstanding commitment to causes close to his heart.
“He came to Britain for the WellChild Awards, where he interacted with the seriously ill children so beautifully, as we remember that Harry used to,” Fitzwilliams added, underscoring his dedication to these causes.

Before gaining recognition for his revelations about the royal family, Harry was often celebrated for his military service and charitable work.
Reflecting on his recent independent appearances, royal editor Charlotte Griffiths remarked, “He wants to remind us that was who he was before Megxit, before the drama… Harry really wants to remind people, ‘This was me before, I was a good guy and I was really good with children.’”
Since stepping back from their royal duties in 2020, the royal couple has relocated to Montecito, California.
