Meghan Markle's dad 'hurt and upset' over her UK move as he fears he'll never meet grandkids
LONDON, ENGLAND: Meghan Markle's father Thomas Markle said he was "hurt and upset" after learning that his daughter and Prince Harry were reportedly returning to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, without introducing him to his grandchildren.
Thomas said he learned about the reported return while watching CNN rather than hearing from Meghan directly. He also spoke about his relationship with his daughter and his hope of meeting Archie and Lilibet.

Thomas said he learned about Meghan and Harry's reported return while watching CNN.
"I saw on CNN that they were returning to England. I found out about it at the same time as the rest of the world," Thomas said.
He added, "I'm hurt and upset that she doesn't give a damn about me, even though I'm in hospital."
Thomas also reflected on his relationship with Meghan, saying, "Meghan used to love me, she was always a daddy's girl, and now it's like I don't exist."
Thomas Markle says he has never met Archie and Lilibet
Thomas said he has never met his grandchildren and expressed concern that he may now never get the opportunity to meet them.
"I have never met my grandchildren, and now they are leaving America," he said.
Thomas also spoke about what Archie and Lilibet might think about him in the future.
"One day those kids will ask about their 'other' grandfather - the one who isn't King - the one that Meghan and Harry are apparently ashamed of," he said.
"I hope they know how much I wanted to meet them," Thomas added.
Thomas Markle says his hope of meeting his grandchildren is gone
Thomas said he had hoped Meghan and Harry might visit him while they were living in the US.
"While they were in the US, I always hoped they might come and see me. Now they are leaving, that hope has gone," he said.
Thomas also spoke about his feelings toward Meghan despite their estrangement.
"I will never stop loving my daughter but I will never understand why she turned her back on me," he said.
The comments came as Meghan and Harry were reportedly preparing to return to Britain with Archie and Lilibet after nearly six years in the United States. Thomas said he learned about the reported move through CNN and not directly from Meghan.
