LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan McCain has criticized Meghan Markle over her new Netflix cooking and lifestyle series.

Netflix released Markle's first trailer for the series 'With Love, Meghan', on Thursday, January 2.

Meghan McCain says Meghan Markle's show is 'tone deaf'

The teaser features Meghan Markle showcasing her cooking and gardening skills alongside celebrity guests like Mindy Kaling, Roy Choi, Alice Waters, and her former 'Suits' co-star Abigail Spencer.

Shortly after the trailer's release, McCain called Markle "tone deaf" for creating what she described as an "out of touch" series.

McCain, who is the daughter of Republican Senator John McCain and a former host of 'The View', admitted she initially supported Markle.

"I was originally a Meghan Markle supporter, I thought she was cool, stylish and refreshing," McCain wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

She added, "Like the rest of the world my opinion changed when she disrespected the royal family," referring to Markle and Prince Harry stepping away from royal duties in 2020.

Meghan McCain says Meghan Markle doesn't know what America wants

Meghan McCain claimed Meghan Markle’s lifestyle was unrealistic for many Americans, especially those struggling financially.

"Now that she wants to be American again instead of British aristocracy what she seems to forget is Americans want real, raw, uncensored," McCain said.

"All of this even in the trailer is highly curated, produced and out of touch," McCain wrote further.

She commented that the project comes at a difficult time for the country.

"Americans can’t pay for groceries," McCain wrote, "We are a country in rage, uncertainty and intensity right now."

Meghan McCain suggests Meghan Markle not to feed her 'ego'

Meghan McCain further suggested Meghan Markle could have focused on making a positive impact rather than promoting her image.

"I would have told her to do a show helping bring fresh food to food deserts in low income neighborhoods. Do something to help people instead of your ego," McCain stated.

"This is why the world doesn’t like you, nothing else. Just completely and utterly tone deaf to the moment." McCain concluded.

Markle and Harry signed a $100 million deal with Netflix in 2020. The deal is set to expire this summer.
