WASHINGTON, DC: Megyn Kelly is calling for "accountability" from the people who allegedly encouraged President Donald Trump to initiate the ongoing Iran war.

The war, which began on February 28, has resulted in a global economic shift following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz and a sharp decline in the President's approval ratings.

Kelly demands answers on who convinced President Trump

On Friday’s edition of ‘The Megyn Kelly ‘on ‘SiriusXM,’ Kelly demanded to know who convinced the president that it was a good idea.

She stated, "As this thing goes south, we need to know exactly who talked him into it and what representations were made to convince the president that this was a good idea. Who? Who specifically?"

Kelly then began naming specific individuals. She said, "The names we know are Bibi Netanyahu first and foremost. Lindsey Graham, equally to blame. We know from the Wall Street Journal report that Mark Thiessen of Fox News and General Jack Keane were major advocates of the war."

She added that while she likes those men, "they appear to have been very wrong that this was a good idea."

Kelly calls out media figures for ‘pushing’ conflict

Kelly also focused on media personalities she claims were eager for military action.

"Mark Levin, chief among them," she said, accusing him of "urging the president to do this" every night on Fox News.

She alleged that during a June meeting, Levin pushed for the war, even if "he denies it now. we know he pushed him for this"

She also called out Ben Shapiro for "pushing this war" every day on his show.

Kelly noted, "There were very prominent activists on the right who were practically frothing at the mouth for this thing."

“And now that it’s not only going poorly, but the president’s poll numbers are in a precipitous freefall, we’d love to see some accountability. Who? Who promised him what?," she remarked.

Levin claims no role in Trump decision amid mounting criticism

In response to the mounting criticism, Mark Levin earlier denied that he played a role in lobbying the President for military intervention.

This week on his radio show, Levin told his audience that he “never” urged the president to go to war with Iran.

“I never lobbied the president,” Levin fumed. “You guys keep putting that crap out there. I met with the president once at his request.”

However on February 27, the day before the war began, Levin appeared as a guest on 'Hannity' on 'Fox News' and shouted, “There’s a time for negotiation, there is a time for diplomacy, and I think the president has demonstrated he’s bent over backwards that that time does not last forever, that that time is up!”
