LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Megyn Kelly, who cheered for the Philadelphia Eagles during their recent Super Bowl clash with the Kansas City Chiefs, has now aimed at the team.

Her frustration follows reports that the NFL champions plan to skip the traditional White House visit to meet President Donald Trump

The decision has stirred up a heated online debate, with many fans criticizing the Eagles for allegedly declining the invite.

The controversy was sparked by an X user, "Toxic Cowboy," who posted, "Wish I had known this before the super bowl. I wouldn’t have wasted my time rooting for them. Eagles fan?"

On February 24, Megyn Kelly reposted a now-deleted message from the "Toxic Cowboy" account, blasting the Philadelphia Eagles with the remark, "SAME. GO F YOURSELVES EAGLES. My husband is a fan, so I got onboard, but F this BS."

Her post ignited a storm of reactions, racking up 13K comments and 6.3 million views, with many criticizing the team for reportedly turning down the White House invite.

Hours later, Kelly shared an update, questioning the validity of the reports, stating, "Update: WH denies that Eagles were asked and this news is from a 2/6 The Sun report about Eagles’ alleged plans if asked. Could be (hopefully?) fake news!"

According to The New York Post, a White House official confirmed that invitations "haven’t even gone out." Clay Travis, founder of Outkick, cited a White House source on Monday, stating that the Eagles had not rejected an invite, and wrote on X, "The reports that have gone viral on social media are fake news. The White House has not even sent the official invite to the Eagles yet."

A source close to the Philadelphia Eagles revealed to The US Sun earlier this month that the team intends to decline a White House invitation.

The newspaper quoted a "well-placed insider" who said that recent talks between players and the front office resulted in a firm “no” regarding an invitation from President Trump.

One of the team's owners stated, "We focus on the game for now, but if we win the Super Bowl, we wouldn’t go to the White House."

An anonymous current player also told the publication that "pretty much everyone" on the team decided to turn down the invite.

The player explained, "We represent a city and a state that is pushing for equal rights, respect, and values that respect every human being," adding, "We won’t forget what happened and the criticism we received for taking a stand against racism, and we won’t back down from our values of respect, integrity, and equality."

Internet joins Megyn Kelly's regret over Eagles' alleged decision to snub WH visit

Upon hearing Megyn Kelly's regret over the Philadelphia Eagles' decision to decline their White House visit, several internet users joined her in criticizing the team.

One user wrote, "The franchise will suffer for this huge mistake."

A frustrated user shared, "I will never root for those sobs again😤."

Another commented, "I voted for them in the SB for the first time, but I promise you, that will be the last time."

An Eagles fan reported, "I’m a lifelong Eagles fan. With that said, I’m deeply ashamed to be so right now…"

One user said, "I with you 💯 percent Megyn!"

Another Eagles fan stated, "I agree with you Megyn. I was a longtime fan. Now I will boycott all Eagles & NFL Games starting this year."

One commenter said, "I regret ever supporting the Eagles. I'll enjoy rooting against them next year."
