WASHINGTON, DC: Melania Trump made her debut as a filmmaker, premiering her Amazon documentary ahead of its global release on January 30.

Melania Trump made a fashion statement in a black Dolce & Gabbana skirt suit, pairing it with black Christian Louboutin stilettos and a slim leather belt for a polished, coordinated look that matched the evening’s sophisticated tone.
President Donald Trump accompanied her in a traditional dark blue suit with a red tie. Melania styled her blonde hair in waves and smiled while posing alongside her husband, who stood sternly for photographers. She completed her ensemble with a classic tuxedo jacket featuring a cummerbund, opting to skip the bow tie.
“I am proud of her. She’s done a great job. A thing like this is not easy,” the POTUS told reporters.
Melania calls film beautiful, emotional, cinematic
When asked to describe making the film in three words, Melania said, “I think the people will judge it for themselves,” and added that it is “beautiful,” “emotional,” “fashionable,” and “cinematic.” Amazon MGM Studios bought Melania for $40 million, and the film will reach theaters worldwide on Friday, January 30.
The movie marks a comeback for director Brett Ratner, who faced a Hollywood blacklist in 2017. Producer Marc Beckman, who also serves as Melania’s senior advisor, told Page Six Hollywood, “Nobody’s ever had access to the first lady like this… In the film, she brings people into never-before-seen meetings and locations. It’s unprecedented.”
He added that Melania wanted the movie to feel cinematic, saying, “It’s launching only in movie theaters… we want that rich, highly-stylized cinematic experience.”
Melania Trump says husband’s return to office matters for America
On Wednesday, January 28, Melania Trump appeared on Wall Street before business leaders to promote her film and ring the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange. In a brief speech, she said the documentary shows “the first time in history” that people will see the lead-up to an inauguration through a first lady’s eyes, calling her husband’s return to office an “important period for America.”
“Superior storytelling drives culture and in turn moves markets,” she said. “In the near future, cultural influence will matter as much as economic power. Our ability to tell our stories and emotionally connect with audiences is paramount. People long to be moved.”
She added, “We need stories that inspire dreams, offer hope, tales of redemption, sad stories, love stories, and funny stories. We want to feel human.”
She argued, “What do you remember when you hear the Rolling Stones? Michael Jackson? Films bring families and friends together, sitting side by side, sharing a collective moment.”
