LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Millie Bobby Brown shut down critics who said she looked “old” at the ‘Electric State’ premiere by sharing a British Vogue article defending her appearance.

The 21-year-old actress, who has spent much of her formative years in the public eye, had a pointed response to recent online criticism regarding her appearance.

After social media users debated whether she looked “too old” for her age, Millie Bobby Brown took to Instagram to share a headline from British Vogue that read, "No One Cares How Old You Think Millie Bobby Brown Looks."

Tagging the publication, she simply wrote, “@britishvogue thank you,” effectively silencing the unwarranted discussion with a single message.

Millie Bobby Brown made a striking appearance at 'The Electric State' premiere, turning heads with her bold new look.

'The Stranger Things' and 'Enola Holmes' actress debuted a platinum blonde hairdo, styled in an elegant yet messy updo with soft bangs framing her face.

Her stunning ensemble for the evening consisted of an Annie’s Ibiza metallic gold and bronze striped embroidered gown, featuring a structured corset top and a flowing train.

Adding a touch of sophistication, she completed the look with a matching bolero jacket.

Brown accessorized with a gold choker necklace and delicate diamond earrings from De Beers.

Her husband, Jake Bongiovi, joined her on the red carpet, looking dapper in a classic black tuxedo with a coordinating bow tie.

However, instead of solely celebrating her choices, online critics were quick to speculate on whether her look was age-appropriate, according to Page Six.

Some users compared her to famous blonde icons such as Pamela Anderson, Britney Spears, Dolly Parton, and Jean Smart while others went as far as suggesting that her drastic transformation hinted at an interest in playing Spears in an upcoming biopic.

While the online buzz intensified, Millie Bobby Brown took the opportunity to address the speculation surrounding her potential involvement in a Britney Spears biopic.

During an interview with Access Hollywood at 'The Electric State' premiere, she responded with admiration for the pop superstar.

“I mean, you know, she is an absolute icon,” Brown said.

The biopic, which will be directed by Jon M Chu, remains in its early stages of development.

Though Brown’s name has been floated as a potential lead, she is not the only actress rumored for the role. Other notable contenders include Blake Lively, Sydney Sweeney, Tate McRae, and Addison Rae.
