Mindy Kaling hosted the third day of the DNC on Wednesday, August 21, and mentioned her home state of Massachusetts.
Addressing the crowd at Chicago’s United Center, the Screen Actors Guild Awards winner said, “I love you, Massachusetts! Everyone is always hating on us, but they just don’t get it.”
“Go Sox! Go Jayson Tatum! Ben Affleck, hang in there,” she stated, before adding, “Dunkin’ Donuts is the best coffee in the world.”

Mindy Kaling's comment came after Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck on Tuesday, August 20, officially ending their marriage. Lopez listed April 26 as the date of separation.
As per a source, “Jennifer said she was tired of being humiliated by Ben, and she waited until the two-year anniversary to file because she wanted to make a statement.”
“But it did not sting him. He's been done for a long time and deep down she knows this. He let her have this so that she wouldn't look like the villain,” the source added.
Mindy Kaling hails Kamala Harris
During her speech, Mindy Kaling also spoke about her connection with Vice President Kamala Harris, as per Billboard.
“I am an incredibly famous Gen Z actress who you might recognize from The Office, The Mindy Project, or as the woman who courageously outed Kamala Harris as Indian in an Instagram cooking video,” Kaling shared.
The screenwriter added, “We immediately hit it off. We talked about the love that we have for our moms, who had both passed away from cancer. Both of our mothers were immigrants from India who came to America and committed their lives to serving others.”
