LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: In a scathing and comedic takedown, Jon Stewart, renowned host of 'The Daily Show,' unleashed a torrent of wit and sarcasm directed at former President Donald Trump for his recent diatribe against Jewish Americans who vote for President Joe Biden.

The episode, which aired on Thursday, saw Stewart skewering Trump's remarks while injecting his trademark blend of humor and social commentary.

Trump's critique amid legal proceedings sparks Stewart's satirical retort

Trump, taking a break from his legal entanglements, seized the opportunity to criticize Biden's stance on Israel amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza.

Stewart, reacting to Trump's condemnation of Jewish Biden supporters, offered a tongue-in-cheek apology to a fictional rabbi, sarcastically thanking Trump for his "shame lecture" and promising to reflect on his moral standing come Yom Kippur.

"What Biden is doing with respect to Israel is disgraceful," Trump said in a clip played by Stewart. "If any Jewish person voted for Joe Biden, they should be ashamed of themselves."

Stewart's response was swift and pointed. "My apologies to you, rabbi," he deadpanned, before launching into a comedic tirade.

"Thank you so much for taking time off of your condom-less porn star hush money trial to deliver a shame lecture to Jews. I will reflect on your moral standing next Yom Kippur."

In his characteristic style, Stewart dissected Trump's assertion that Jewish Americans who voted for Biden should be ashamed, highlighting the absurdity of such a statement.

Jon Stewart defends American Jews against allegations of dual loyalty

Drawing attention to the notion of dual loyalty, Stewart emphasized that American Jews are, first and foremost, American citizens, with no need to justify their political choices based on their religious identity.

"American Jews are American. We do not have dual loyalties or citizenship. There’s nothing for us to be ashamed of," Stewart declared, trying to contain his laughter amidst the absurdity.

The segment escalated with Stewart's on-air team joining in a chorus of "shame," mocking Trump's simplistic categorization of Jews into "good" and "bad" based on their voting preferences.

Amidst the laughter, Stewart's discomfort with the absurdity of Trump's remarks was palpable, culminating in a hilarious exchange with his staff and comedian Ronny Chieng, who humorously interjected a reference to an unrelated movie.

"Guys, this is making me very uncomfortable," Stewart admitted, as the comedic chaos ensued.

"Why? Donald Trump is just saying that there are good Jews, and there are bad Jews, and we need to start identifying the bad Jews," one of Stewart's team members quipped, eliciting further laughter.

Trump's rebuke: accusing Biden of abandoning Israel and casting shame on Jewish Biden supporters

According to NY Times, former President Donald Trump launched a scathing attack on President Biden on Thursday, criticizing his threat to cease weapon supplies to Israel. He also repeatedly targeted American Jews who support Biden, insinuating that they were betraying their religious and cultural heritage.

Speaking outside the Manhattan courtroom where he faces charges related to a campaign sex scandal cover-up in 2016, Trump condemned Biden's Israel policy as "disgraceful."

He further asserted that "any Jewish person" who voted for Biden should feel ashamed of themselves.

Responding to Biden's remarks during an interview with a local television station in North Carolina, Trump urged American Jews —predominantly liberal — to refrain from supporting Biden in the upcoming November elections.

"If you're Jewish and you vote for him, I say, shame on you," Trump stated to Spectrum News 1 North Carolina.

Additionally, in a video shared on social media, Trump referenced the 2017 rally and march in Charlottesville, VA, where white supremacists carried torches chanting "Jews will not replace us."

Trump alleged that Biden harbored animosity towards "the Jewish people" and suggested that Jewish individuals voting for Biden should reconsider their decision, stating, "If Jewish people are going to vote for Joe Biden, they have to have their head examined."

Public opinion: diverse voices on Trump's leadership and Biden's integrity

Public opinion on former President Donald Trump's stance on Jewish voters varied widely, with some expressing strong condemnation of his actions and character.

One user wrote, "Many Americans are saying they find everything about Donald Trump to be grotesque."

Another said, "MAGA Republicans are aggressively opinionated but woefully ill-informed. America’s shame."

One user wrote, "Trump lied and a million Americans died."

One commented, "If only Jews would listen to the fat orange guy who repeatedly paraphrases Hitler."

Another replied, "Joe Biden is a good man and a highly effective public servant to the American people. Donald Trump is an angry, vindictive, juvenile clown who has only cared about self advancement his entire life."
