Netflix insider reveals what working with Meghan Markle is like after 'Polo' flops
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It's no secret that Meghan Markle has created a curious reputation for herself when it comes to her work ethic, with some previous staffers calling the Duchess of Sussex out for creating a hostile work environment.
Adding to the list is a Netflix insider who revealed how it is to work with the 43-year-old after her and Prince Harry’s docuseries, ‘Polo’, failed to impress viewers.
Netflix insider opens up about the experience of working with Meghan Markle
The Netflix insider spilled to Daily Mail, "It's so much work with her," as per The Mirror.
The former ‘Suits’ star and her royal husband's five-part Netflix docuseries, ‘Polo’, premiered on December 10, right before the couple released their annual holiday greeting card, in which they shared new pictures of their children, Archie and Lilibet.
While the docuseries bombed, Meghan has her plates full as she is awaiting the launch of her latest venture American Riviera Orchard, which will be followed by her upcoming Netflix show focusing on cooking and lifestyle.
The insider not only revealed how it is to work with the Duchess of Sussex but also shared skepticism about the fate of her upcoming show. "Bluntly, the 'deliverable' does not seem to be worth it," they shared.
Meghan Markle's cooking show might be 'make or break' for the Sussexes
Another insider shared with Daily Mail that Meghan Markle's culinary show "may not see the light of day."
One more revealed that Netflix might be losing patience with the Sussexes, saying, "There won’t be another deal. There may be one-offs, but that’s it," as per Daily Mail.
The tipster highlighted the former actress' notable absence from Oprah Winfrey's surprise birthday party for their mutual friend Gayle King. They dished, "A-listers are now actively keeping away from them and events they are apparently going to attend. One told me, 'It’s not a good look to be around them.'"
Though a section is skeptical about the show, another camp added that the show will come, especially if it boosts Meghan's American Riviera Orchard, but it will be the definitive "make or break" for the Sussexes, who have ambitions of building a TV empire.
