Nikki Bella's twin Brie Garcia wants her to leave husband Artem Chigvintsev after domestic battery arrest
NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA: Brie Garcia reportedly wants her pro wrestler twin sister Nikki Bella to leave her husband Artem Chigvintsev after the dancer was arrested for domestic violence last week.
Last week, on Thursday, August 29, the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ regular was arrested early in the morning from his Yountville, California home. Artem was released later on the day after paying a bond of $25,000.
While the name, gender, and age of the alleged victim are not made public due to the nature of the law, reports suggested that Artem was charged with causing corporal injury to a spouse.
Meanwhile, it has also been reported that Nikki’s twin Brie, both 40, is left concerned and “disgusted” with Artem’s arrest and wants her sister to leave her spouse of two years.
Brie Garcia urges Nikki Bella to leave Artem Chigvintsev
Recently, a source close to the twins, who fought in the WWE as Bella Twins, shared with Daily Mail about Brie’s apparent antipathy toward her brother-in-law.
The source said, “Nikki's sister Brie is disgusted, shocked, disappointed and just sad that this happened.”
“She loves Artem, and for this to be going down is so out of the realm of possibility of the person who she knows,” added the insider before admitting, “Brie is very concerned about it all and is there for her sister at all costs.”
The source shared that after the recent events, Brie is urging her sister to leave Artem, whom Nikki met during her stint at ‘DWTS’ in 2017.
“Brie, who is obviously the closest to Nikki, as anyone would, is telling her to leave Artem, if this is as bad as it seems, and if it happened before, once she finds out everything that happened, she will be the first to tell Nikki to leave him,” firmly noted the source.
The insider further dished that while arguments have previously flared in Nikki and Artem’s marriage, the recent violent outburst has shocked the retired wrestler’s family.
The source gave an insight into their relationship, saying, “One thing Nikki never showed was the verbal troubles that she had with Artem. They wouldn't treat each other very nice and they never built on a friendship,” revealed the source.
The primary cause of the couple’s arguments is their four-year-old son Matteo. However, their pals said that it is not known whether their verbal altercation ever turned into physical violence.
Their sole focus has been on their son and not on each other,” explained the source, before noting, “That caused arguments, but as far as everyone knows it never got physical.”
Thus, the recent incident shocked Nikki’s friends and family, with the source dishing, “Family and friends are very surprised things got physical, but they're not exactly surprised that they were having trouble, it just seemed like normal relationship issues to outsiders.”
Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev sought therapy previously
Amid the alleged marital concerns, the ‘Total Divas’ star’s representative shared a statement to Us Weekly that Nikki Bella wants to maintain privacy following the arrest.
A representative shared with the outlet, “This is a private matter, and Nikki asks for privacy for her and her family at this time.”
Previously, in 2021, Nikki shared during an appearance on Kaitlyn Bristowe's podcast 'Off the Vine' that they have been in couples’ therapy for Chigvintsev’s tone.
She revealed that when her Russian dancer husband "gets really stressed, he doesn't realize his tone." Nikki continued, "We're actually in therapy for this," as per People.
