NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Former President Donald Trump had an outburst against New York Judge Arthur Engoron and Attorney General Letitia James as civil fraud case verdict looms, which could lead to a potential lifetime ban from the state's real estate sector.

In a series of Truth Social posts on Sunday, January 28, Trump defended himself, calling the case a "witch hunt" and urging the federal courts to intervene.  The Republican frontrunner specifically targeted the judge and AG James, calling them "badly influenced" and "corrupt," respectively.

The $370 million civil fraud trial wrapped up on January 11 after the closing arguments, and the judge is expected to declare the final ruling by January 31.

James filed the lawsuit against Trump and his two sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr, for inflating the net worth of his properties.

The former President was recently ordered to pay $83.3 million to writer E Jean Carroll for defaming her, and the NY civil fraud trial adds to his multiple ongoing legal battles.

What did Donald Trump say on social media?

The presidential hopeful directed his rage against Judge Engoron and NYAG James on his Truth Social platform.

Denying the wrongdoings, Trump questioned why the judge did not announce his decision after "conclusively" proving that he "DID NOTHING WRONG."

"And a corrupt NYS Attorney General, who sat comfortably and confidently in Court with her shoes off, arms folded, a Starbucks Coffee, and a BIG smile on her face… JUST LIKE SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT THE DECISION WILL BE!" he added about the NY Attorney General.

Calling the closing argument of the case "pathetic," the former real estate mogul claimed, "It is a Witch Hunt!"

"The Judge is being badly influenced, and the Gag Order must come off! REMEMBER,THIS JUDGE RULED AGAINST ME BEFORE THE TRIAL EVEN STARTED, AND HE KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THE CASE," Trump said about Judge Engoron.

"The public is angry over this HOAX. This trial is RIGGED!"

Despite the failed civil trials and multiple legal troubles, Trump has cemented his position as the clear frontrunner in the Republican primary race. Winning the Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary, the ex-President is leading the polls ahead of sole GOP opponent Nikki Haley.

Internet reacts to Donald Trump's online outburst

Trump, lashing out at the judge and Attorney General as he awaited a significant ruling that could decide his real estate fate in New York state, failed to impress netizens. Instead, they pointed out that his outburst at this crucial stage could not be a winning strategy.
