LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Late-night host Seth Meyers took a comedic swipe at former President Donald Trump over the weekend for a peculiar mix-up involving Nikki Haley and Nancy Pelosi in his remarks about the January 6 insurrection.

Meyers dissected the incident, highlighting the absurdity of Trump's confusion.

Meyers exposes Trump's confusion

"Over the weekend, for example, he had a very bizarre moment where he confused Haley with Nancy Pelosi and blamed Haley for the January 6th insurrection, even though Haley was nowhere near DC on January 6th," Meyers remarked.

"Also, nothing he's saying here is true regardless of who he's talking about. But on top of that, he can't even get the names right," he added.

The bewildering incident unfolded as Trump repeatedly mentioned Nikki Haley's name in connection with the events of January 6, despite her absence in Washington DC during that time.

Meyers' comedic take on Trump's mix-up

Meyers humorously questioned Trump's persistent use of Haley's name, likening it to an unconventional undercover cop scenario.

"Why does he keep saying her name? Is he confusing Nikki Haley with Beetlejuice? Not only does he get it wrong, he keeps saying it over and over. He sounds like an undercover cop who keeps saying the wrong safe word during a drug bust," Meyers quipped, eliciting laughter from his audience.

The comedian continued his satirical take on Trump's peculiar repetition of Nikki Haley's name, drawing a humorous parallel to a fictional undercover cop's predicament. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm not a cop. I'm a drug dealer. Just like you. Nikki Haley. Nikki Haley. Nikki Haley, get me out of here!" Meyers joked, infusing the scenario with a comedic twist.

Meyers invokes a detective scenario to wrap up

Meyers wrapped up his segment by playfully envisioning a fictional exchange between two detectives about a fellow officer who can't quite get the job done. "Hey, chief, Detective Jones keeps saying the safe word, but he keeps saying it wrong. Hey, relax, kid. He's a pro. He knows what he -- Oh, they just threw him off the roof."

In classic Meyers fashion, the comedian turned a confusing Trump moment into a hilarious commentary, leaving his audience in stitches.
