INDIANOLA, IOWA: Donald Trump, the Republican frontrunner for the 2024 presidential election, disparaged the nation's capital, Washington DC, while speaking to his supporters in Indianola, Iowa on January 14.

Briefly dealing with hecklers who called him out for the foreign business deals and climate agenda, the former President declared, "We will take over the horribly-run capital of our nation. Horribly run."

"We have a capital that we all love. Right now, it is a rat-infested, graffiti-infested sh*thole where people are being killed," he alleged.

Trump, who also lashed out at the NYC judge for denying his request to delay the defamation trial to attend his mother-in-law's funeral, received cheering and claps from the crowd.

Leading the Republican polls with a sizeable dominance, Trump is expecting a decisive success in the Hawkeye state, kickstarting the election year.

Trump promises to take away the capital's control from Democratic Mayor

According to a report by Mediaite, Trump also announced he will take away Washington DC's control from Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser.

Stating the capital should run "incredibly," he added, "We have to take the graffiti off those magnificent marble columns all over the city where they have swastikas printed on them, where they have the names of people who have hearts. People who are in love and they write a heart."

The White House hopeful promised to turn DC into "the most beautiful capital in the world" by cleaning it up and knocking out the slums.

Despite unleashing scathing attacks against his rivals with little-to-no-respect remarks, Trump will likely grab the Republican nominee ticket to face President Joe Biden in November.

Internet outraged by Trump's remarks

Angry at Trump's disrespectful remarks about the capital, netizens mocked him, suggesting that DC turned into a "sh*thole" in the GOP's presence.

One remark on X read, "Only when the GOP is in town Donnie."

Another user wrote, "It's much better now that he's in Florida."

"Mar-a-Lago is NOT our capitol!!" added a third user. Another mocking response read, "But he can’t wait to get there."

A fifth user said, "I AGREE THANKS TO THE REPUBLICANS WHO CURRENTLY LEAD IT." Echoing a similar sentiment, another said, "Only when the GOP has control of Congress."

"Projecting onto Mar-A-Lago again," remarked a user.

One questioned, "So why does he want to go back so badly?" Another asked, "How would he know anything about DC? He spent all his time in FL."
