Internet hails Pedro Pascal as he shows support for Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukraine
Pedro Pascal's posts about supporting Ukraine and Volodymyr Zelensky got the netizens talking, with one writing, "The sheer audacity to ask a man protecting his country from an invasion, ‘why aren’t you wearing a suit?’ Such an embarrassment."
They were referring to the criticism Zelensky received for not wearing a suit to the White House meeting.
Others pointed out what they saw as hypocrisy, with another commenter stating, "And shaming him for not saying ‘thank you’? Like you called him a dictator within the last week, so… sorry he forgot his manners or whatever."
"What American 'leaders' said to Zelenskyy today was so disrespectful and embarrassing," one more stated.
Many praised Pascal for taking a stand, with fans calling for "Pedro for president."
"Pedro has been having a king week. I hope this spreads to show that Americans are behind Ukraine despite what happened today. They need our support more than anything," an individual wrote.
"Pedro showing out and proving that he a great person!" read another comment. One more shared, "I love that he’s speaking out, and I hope more public figures follow suit."

"I think it's disrespectful for you to come into the Oval Office and try to litigate this in front of the American media. You guys are forcing conscripts to the frontlines because you have manpower problems. You should be thanking the president," Vance stated, as per The Guardian.
Zelensky fired back, "Have you ever been to Ukraine?"
Vance was quick to respond. "You bring people on a propaganda tour. Do you think it's respectful to come to the US Oval Office and attack the administration that's trying to prevent the destruction of your country? You went to Pennsylvania and campaigned for the opposition in October. Offer some words of appreciation for The United States of America and the president who is trying to save your country," the vice president said.
Zelensky, standing firm, replied, "Everybody has problems, even you, but you have a nice ocean and don’t feel it now but you will feel it in the future."

At this point, Trump stepped in and said, "Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel. We’re trying to solve a problem. You’re in no position to dictate what we’re gonna feel. You’re right now, not in a very good position. You don’t have the cards right now… You’re gambling with World War III. It’s going to be very hard to do business like this. You’ve got to be more thankful."

She added, "President felt disrespected. We have heard discussions about Zelensky's body language, shrugging and eye rolling was ungrateful and disrespectful. President feels that Zelensky is not ready for peace and he can come back when he is ready to talk about peace."
Shortly after the meeting ended, Trump took to Truth Social to share a statement about his thoughts on how things turned out.
He wrote he's "determined that President Zelenskyy is not ready for Peace if America is involved." Trump added, "He disrespected the United States of America in its cherished Oval Office. He can come back when he is ready for Peace."
