Pete Davidson wishes ex-fiancee Ariana Grande success at Oscars as he reflects on their past relationship

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Pete Davidson has opened up on his current standing with ex-fiancee Ariana Grande.
In an interview with Page Six, the 31-year-old comedian shared that while their encounters are infrequent, the bond remains amicable.
Pete Davidson hopes Ariana Grande 'takes the gold'
Speaking about Grande, Davidson shared, “When we see each other, which is few and far between, because we’re not in the same circles, it’s all love."
“I hope she wins the Oscar, I hope she takes the gold,” Davidson added warmly, expressing his hope that Grande clinches the Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role as Glinda in 'Wicked.'
"I’ve had some pretty adult relationships with some pretty amazing women, and when it’s ended it’s been cool," he said.
Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande's brief but intense engagement
Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande’s whirlwind romance in 2018 made headlines when they got engaged just two months into dating.
However, their engagement ended in October 2018.
Reflecting on their time together, Grande admitted that their relationship was a welcome distraction following her breakup with late rapper Mac Miller.
“It was frivolous and fun and insane and highly unrealistic. I loved him, and I didn’t know him," Grande said in a 2019 Vogue interview.
“I’m like an infant when it comes to real life and this old soul, been-around-the-block-a-million-times artist. I still don’t trust myself with the life stuff,” she shared.
Pete Davidson opens up on challenges of fame and dating in Hollywood
Since his relationship with Ariana Grande, Pete Davidson has been linked to several high-profile women, including Kim Kardashian, Madelyn Cline, Kaia Gerber, Chase Sui Wonders, Phoebe Dynevor, and Kate Beckinsale.
Davidson candidly discussed the impact of media scrutiny on his personal life, stating that the attention overshadowed his career achievements.
Despite being one of the youngest cast members on 'Saturday Night Live', Davidson felt his work was often overlooked due to his dating life.
“It was pretty humiliating and upsetting, honestly. Everyone is dating everyone and it’s Hollywood. Look at Paul Mescal, Timmy [Chalamet], Barry Keough,” he told Page Six.

“But because I’m ugly, they wrote about me. I was harassed for like five years and it made my life a living hell," he said.
“It’s embarrassing because you want people to write about your work. I was one of the youngest ever cast members on 'SNL' and all that got pushed to the side because of who I was dating,” Davidson added.
