LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince Harry made a memorable splash at King Charles III and Queen Camilla's wedding in April 2005 by enthusiastically confetti-bombing the newlyweds as they exited the ceremony.

The joyous moment, captured by cameras, featured Harry and his brother, Prince William, showering the newlyweds with colorful ticker tape before they climbed into a waiting car. The Duke of Sussex appeared especially energetic as he raised his hand high before tossing down his confetti from above.

The playful confetti bombing footage recently resurfaced on social media and showcased the moment alongside nostalgic images of Harry as a child with his beloved late mother, Princess Diana. The viral video on TikTok, captioned, "Harry and Diana forever," has garnered over 539,000 views and 47,000 likes.

Prince Harry pleaded with King Charles not to marry Camilla

In his memoir 'Spare', Prince Harry revealed the complicated feelings he and Prince William had about their father's marriage.

"Willy and I promised Pa that we'd welcome Camilla into the family. The only thing we asked in return was that he not marry her. 'You don't need to remarry', we pleaded. A wedding would cause controversy. It would incite the press."

"It would make the whole country, the whole world, talk about mummy, compare mummy and Camilla, and nobody wanted that. Least of all Camilla. 'We support you', we said. 'We endorse Camilla', we said. 'Just please don't marry her. Just be together, pa'. He didn't answer," reported Newsweek.

By the time of the wedding, Harry's perspective had shifted somewhat, although traces of his earlier apprehensions remained. He wrote, "Despite Willy and me urging him not to, pa was going ahead. We pumped his hand, wished him well. No hard feelings. We recognized that he was finally going to be with the woman he loved, the woman he'd always loved, the woman fate might've intended for him in the first place."

Despite the mixed emotions, Prince Harry expressed a surprising desire for Camilla's happiness

The royal wedding marked a significant chapter in Prince Harry's journey, revealing his conflicting emotions. "Whatever bitterness or sorrow we felt over the closing of another loop in mummy's story, we understood that it was beside the point," he reflected. "I had complex feelings about gaining a stepparent who, I believed, had recently sacrificed me on her personal PR altar. But I saw pa's smile and it was hard to argue with that, and harder still to deny the cause: Camilla."

"I wanted so many things, but I was surprised to discover at their wedding that one of the things I wanted most, still, was for my father to be happy.

"In a funny way I even wanted Camilla to be happy. Maybe she'd be less dangerous if she was happy?"
