Ricky Martin celebrates twin sons Matteo and Valentino's 18th birthday with rare photo
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ricky Martin is celebrating a special milestone as his twin sons, Matteo and Valentino, turned 18 on Thursday, August 6. The 'Livin' la Vida Loca' singer has always kept his private life away from the spotlight, especially when it comes to his children.
This time, however, Martin gave fans a rare glimpse of the twins by sharing a photo on social media. Matteo and Valentino, who were born in August 2008, marked their 18th birthday with a heartfelt tribute from their father. Martin is also a father to Lucia and Renn, all born via surrogacy.

Martin has always kept his children out of the public eye. But on August 6, he gave fans a glimpse of his family by posting a single image of Matteo and Valentino on his Instagram Story. The twins were seen jumping into a pool wearing blue and red swim trunks and goggles.

Martin wrote a sweet message in Spanish alongside the photo, sharing that he spent the entire week celebrating "the ones who own his heart" (English translation). "All week celebrating the 18th birthday of the owners of my life. I love you, my children," (a rough translation of Martin's post).
For those unaware, the 54-year-old singer is a father of four children: twins Matteo and Valentino, daughter Lucia, and son Renn, all born via surrogacy.

Martin has always prioritized family. The singer was 36 years old when he welcomed his twin sons via surrogacy as a single father. Nine years later, he married Jwan Yosef, and the couple welcomed their daughter Lucia via surrogacy in December 2018, when Martin was 47.
A year later, in 2019, the former couple expanded their family with the birth of their son Renn.
During a 2024 appearance on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show', Martin shared a heartwarming story about his twins.
"I have four kids. I have twin boys, 15-year-olds; they've always been traveling with me. They're homeschooled," Martin shared.
"When they were like 5 or 6, I allowed them to go in front of the stage, because, for me, I thought it was too overstimulating because they would always see me from backstage. So they went in front of the stage, and when they came back, they go, 'Oh, got it, Daddy. You are Ricky Martin,'" he said with a large smile.
"It was just so beautiful," he added.
