LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle has reportedly shown no interest in appearing in the upcoming season of ‘Suits’ after “thinking of herself as very grand.”

When speculation initially arose about the next season of the Los Angeles-based ‘Suits,’ many fans of the 42-year-old American royal held hopes that the mother-of-two might return to the screen through the legal drama.

Prior to retiring from acting in 2017 to marry Prince Harry of Great Britain, Markle portrayed the character of paralegal Rachel Zane in the television series 'Suits.'

However, according to royal biographer Angela Levin, Markle may not be returning for the upcoming series titled 'Suits LA.'

Royal biographer says Meghan Markle has not shown any sign of going back to ‘Suits’

Per OK! Magazine, biographer Angela Levin has said, "Meghan has showed no signs of going back to Suits.”

Reportedly, Levin suggested that Markle may have contemplated the opportunities if Archewell had been granted production responsibilities, stating, "She would have considered it if Archewell had been allowed to be involved in the production, but that request was denied."

Speculation has also arisen that following the Sussexes' decision to step down from their roles as working royals in early 2020, Markle initially expressed a desire to re-establish herself in the entertainment industry.

Four years down the line, however, it is being speculated now that the mother-of-two is looking forward to becoming a producer and humanitarian.

Levin shared, "She is thinking of herself as very grand at the moment - with her and Harry going back to their ‘royal roots’ with their new website," while referring to the couple’s recently launched website, sussex.com.

Levin concluded by sharing her thoughts that, "I should think she believes she is too good for the show now and for her former colleagues."

Meghan Markle's colleagues discussed her 'Suits' return

However, Angela Levin is not the first to weigh the possibility of Meghan Markle's return to the 'Suits.' Previously, Markle's co-actor Patrick J Adams who essayed the role of lawyer Mike Pence in 'Suits' shared his opinion regarding the old cast's return.

During the Golden Globes Award 2024 mini-reunion of the 'Suits' cast, minus Markle, Adams was questioned about the upcoming show. He responded, "We heard about — well, it's not exactly a revival — but a 'Suits' spinoff. I believe it's still in the early stages. But what was it they said? It's a series set in the 'Suits' universe. Something like 'Suits LA.'"

Referring to the showrunner Aaron Korsh, he mentioned, "Anyway, our fearless showrunner Aaron is working on that. And if we were to receive the phone call, if I were to receive the phone call, I'm ready to suit up again."

While he could not comment on the possibility of Markle returning, he joked, “Sure. Mike and Rachel in Seattle. They gotta come down to LA, they gotta fix some stuff," per New York Post.

Adams continued to jest about the duchess, saying, "She's pretty popular right now," and then added, "Did you hear about Meghan? I'll fill you in later."

Markle's other co-star Rachael Harris too opened up about the spinoff while attending the 11th Make-up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS) Awards in Beverly Hills, saying that while the former cast members may not return in full potential, they may appear for cameo appearances.

She further shared that Korsh has not talked about Markle with her, and said, “He has not said anything to me about Megan popping in,” per The Mirror.

She noted, “We don't talk about the Duchess. It's rude. She has enough going on. You know what I mean? Let's leave her alone for God's sake. Right.”
