Ryan Reynolds' witty response to Jamie Lee Curtis

On Thursday, August 1, Reynolds took to X (formerly Twitter) to respond to Curtis' apology as he wrote, “Wait, is everyone expected to apologize for slamming Marvel post-Endgame?”

The Oscar-winning actress made the initial remarks in an interview with her 'Borderlands' co-stars during the San Diego Comic-Con in July.

The interview conducted by MTV on July 30, featured a Q&A montage in which host Joshua Horowitz asked, "What phase is Marvel in right now?"

Shocking her co-stars and host Horowitz, Jamie Lee Curtis bluntly answered "Bad."

Jamie Lee Curtis says her comments about Marvel were 'stupid'

On Thursday, August 1, Curtis took to social media to issue an apology beneath a video from SDCC, where her co-star Kevin Hart praised her leadership on the set of Borderlands.

"If I'm a leader, then a leader shouldn't talk s--- about other collaborative art form creators," wrote the 'Freaky Friday' star.

"My comments about Marvel were stupid and I will do better," she continued.

"I've reached out to [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige and will no longer play in that mud slinging sandbox of competition nor will I engage in the toilet paper promotion or game play that is designed for clicks not content," Curtis added.

In July 2022, Curtis said she would "of course" star in a Marvel movie, despite having previously engaged in a playful feud between the latest 'Doctor Strange' movie and her Oscar-winning movie 'Everything Everywhere All At Once', according to People.

"Goated tweet," a user on X said of Reynold's reaction and commenting on Curtis' 'bad' phase remarks, a user wrote, "She was right. Phase 4 was below mid."

"A soap opera unfold in the world of Marvel fandom. People are slamming Marvel post-Endgame, and then it's like, "Wait, did I just say that loud? I'm so sorry, Marvel!" a netizen commented.

"Only if they want a shot at a role in an avengers movie," someone said of Curtis' apology to Marvel while another netizen tweeted, "Heh Jamie Lee is triggered, she mad, reaaaaal mad."
