At the 'Deadpool & Wolverine' premiere on July 22 at New York City's David H Koch Theater, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively revealed their child's name was Olin, but the mystery whether the couple had welcomed a boy or a girl lingered among fans.

In the video, Reynolds shared a heartfelt moment, reminiscing about Bell's late son, Jake Bell, who was a devoted fan of Reynolds' Deadpool character.

John Bell is the heart and soul behind the mental health non-profit Walking 4 Hope, born from the profound loss of his beloved son.

In footage shared on Reynolds’ X account, formerly known as Twitter, Bell expressed his emotions with raw honesty: “What I do now keeps me alive daily, because I’ve made my peace with death," adding, "I’m gonna be reunited with him at some point, but it damn well ain’t now."

“The resilience it takes to put one foot in front of the other, as many times as you’ve done it, and transmute that much grief into something powerfully useful,” Reynolds expressed. “I’m very grateful that you shared his story.”

“I want to share with you that I too have a son,” Reynolds stated, “And if I love him 1/10th as much as you love Jake, I feel like I’ve done a pretty damn good job.”

Walking 4 Hope founder John Bell keeps late son's memory alive

According to BBC, John Bell embarked on a heartfelt journey from Mansfield Town in March, aiming to walk to Wales for the Stags' away game at Wrexham Association Football Club on March 29.

That walk was in memory of his son Jake, who died in 2020 at the age of 15.

Bell, hailing from Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, co-founded the charity Walking 4 Hope to raise money and awareness for mental health issues.

For his endeavors back then, he dressed as Jake’s favorite superhero, Deadpool, famously portrayed by Hollywood star and Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

Following the March 31 leg of the walk through Derbyshire and Staffordshire, Bell has received support from Reynolds himself on several occasions.

One particularly memorable moment was when Reynolds wrote, "Rob and I are excited to have John Bell in Wrexham this Friday. Let’s give him a warm welcome. John’s story is an incredible testament to his strength and capacity to turn pain into action. @Walking4Hope."
