Savannah Chrisley claims she had a 'Princess Diana moment' while waiting for her dad Todd outside prison

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Savannah Chrisley has reportedly claimed to feel like Princess Diana as she waited for her father Todd Chrisley’s release from prison.
During the Tuesday, June 3, episode of PodcastOne’s ‘Unlocked’ podcast, she spoke about the day when she went to pick her father from the prison, as reported by Us Weekly.
She shared, “My plan of attack was to go and stand in front of the press and give the press conference that they wanted.”
“I also [wanted to] state that I hope that the Bureau of Prisons and FPC Pensacola would abide by [President Donald] Trump‘s order that he signed, which was for them to be immediately released,” she said.

However, while outside the Pensacola, Florida, prison, she felt something special.
“People were handing me their babies. Their kids were coming up to me. I was holding hands and holding babies, which people got photos of. When I looked back at it, I was like, ‘Oh, this felt like such a Princess Diana moment to me.’ Of just loving on people and them loving on me as well,” the 27-year-old stated.
Both of Savannah’s parents — Todd and Julie — were serving jail sentences for tax evasion, bank and wire fraud, and conspiracy in separate jails. But they received pardon by President Donald Trump in late May.
Savannah Chrisley says she and her parents are ‘going to make up for lost time’
Savannah went to pick up her dad on May 28, where she reportedly said, “My parents have not spoken to each other, heard each other’s voices or seen each other in the past two and a half years.”
“Their 29th wedding anniversary was May 25, so we’re only a few days out from that. So when they reunite, we’re going to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, Christmases, all the things, because we’re going to make up for lost time,” she added.
On May 30, the reality star and his daughter held a media conference, where the former said, “[Savannah] has fought a long fight and for any parent to see their child fight this hard, it’s a double edged sword. It’s a blessing and then your heart breaks because your child has been placed in that position.”

Todd Chrisley insists on his innocence despite conviction
He further stated that “even though this pardon has happened, I still was convicted of something that I did not do. It could be you. It could be any of you. And somewhere in this room, someone has had a family member who has been affected by this system.”
“I understand the shame that’s around it, but I refuse to feed into that because shame is like a cancer that just spreads, and I have no shame,” Todd added.
During the same media interaction, Savannah lambasted rumors that she had sex with someone to get her parents’ pardon.

“Obviously the biggest misconception right now is that I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon. That's the biggest misconception right now, and if people knew the countless hours and the money and the time that I spent going to DC, literally with not a meeting scheduled, and I just got on a plane and went and said, ‘I'm going to be in the right room at the right time and meet the right people,’” she noted.
