NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Savannah Guthrie, the 52-year-old host of NBC's 'Today', found herself at the center of a lively debate, not for her journalistic prowess but for her outfit choice for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Reporting live from New York City for the holiday tradition she’s covered since 2012, Guthrie opted for an all-black ensemble ahead of the parade.

Fans troll Savannah Guthrie’s bold bucket hat look

Savannah Guthrie paired leather pants with a padded black jacket, completing the look with a Burberry bucket hat, black gloves, and her signature blonde tresses tucked under the rainproof headwear.

While practical for the frigid, rainy morning, her choice of attire lit up social media like a Christmas tree.

Guthrie's cozy, weather-appropriate outfit was criticized by fans on X.

Viewers questioned her choice of leather pants, with some implying they clashed with her usual Thanksgiving glam.

One user mused, “Savannah Guthrie is dressed like she’s on her way to a Hannah Montana concert.”

A particular viewer expressed in one word, "Insufferable!"

Following suit, another observer added, "Savannah Guthrie looks like she's dressed as a witch for the parade. So that's a good start."

Additionally, a viewer pointed out, "@SavannahGuthrie is trying way too hard with her pleather pants... I wish someone other than NBC hosted the parade... This host crew is God awful..."

A follower contributed, "Watching the Macys Parade. Savannah looks so evil even on a happy occasion. Hard to look at her."

A comment underscored, "We have the Macy’s Parade on for all to watch but I cannot stomach @SavannahGuthrie @NBCNews @TODAYshow."

Hoda Kotb joins Savannah Guthrie for Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast

Co-host Hoda Kotb, who recently surprised fans with the announcement of her departure from the 'Today' show, joined Savannah Guthrie to helm the broadcast.

The 60-year-old opted for a starkly different look—a long white coat paired with a matching beanie and gloves, embodying a snow-queen aesthetic.

Despite the stylish hosts, the parade faced challenges from nature.

A low-pressure system brought heavy rain, gusty winds, and temperatures in the upper 40s. Miserable parade-goers sat bundled on cold bleachers, braving the elements to witness the century-old tradition.

Fox Weather predicted up to an inch of rain throughout the morning, adding a damp layer to the festivities.

Rain or shine, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade delivered its usual magic.

This year’s celebration included 17 massive helium balloons, 22 floats, 11 marching bands, and a star-studded lineup of performers, including Jennifer Hudson and Idina Menzel.

Even the WNBA champions, the New York Liberty, made an appearance.

As Al Roker navigated the soggy streets, interviewing drenched spectators, Guthrie and Kotb kept spirits high from the NBC broadcast booth.

The event also streamed live on Peacock, ensuring audiences nationwide could enjoy the spectacle from the warmth of their homes.
