LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sean 'Diddy' Combs' Hollywood Walk of Fame star will not be removed, despite several calls.

Considering his sexual assault lawsuits, a growing number of people are asking for the 54-year-old embattled rapper's star to be taken out, but it appears that it won't be happening.

Why Diddy’s Hollywood Walk of Fame star cannot be removed?

On Saturday, May 25, a Hollywood Chamber of Commerce spokesperson told TMZ that the organization is "powerless" when it comes to removing stars after they are cemented on Hollywood Boulevard.

The spokesperson further stated that as they only have the power to designate, produce, and install them, they did not discuss taking down Combs' star.

This happens not long after a graphic video of Combs abusing his ex-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura surfaced.

Back in May 2008, Combs was honored with the 2,362nd star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and was introduced by actor Jamie Foxx. "He throws the best party you've ever seen in your life," Foxx said at the time during his speech.

He added at that time, "This is big. This is legendary. And they'll never be able to take this away from you."

Now it appears that the star indeed cannot be taken away from Combs despite the growing volume of sexual assault claims and the fact that he is the subject of a federal criminal investigation.

Previously, Combs maintained that his accusers were seeking a "payday" and angrily denied the sexual assault charges. Last week, however, an incriminating video emerged, which depicted Combs violently attacking Ventura in 2016 hotel surveillance footage.

Shortly afterwards, he made a public apology in a video, which angered social media users as they called his actions fake.

Ventura was accused of lying about the abuse by many people, including her ex-partner, but on Thursday, May 23, she finally broke her silence and asked people to "open your heart to believe victims the first time." It happened after the LA County District Attorney declared that because the statute of limitations had passed, Combs could not be prosecuted for the assault.

Ventura had previously claimed in a since-settled lawsuit that Combs had paid the same hotel $50,000 for the footage after the attack.

Also, according to court records, one of the most recent allegation against the rapper comes from a woman called April Lampros, who said Combs assaulted her multiple times in the 1990s and early 2000s.

Internet reacts to Sean 'Diddy' Combs' star not being removed

Several social media users slamed the decision with a Facebook user saying, "They can.. they just won't."

A user wrote, "Anything can be removed.. All depends on who is deciding."

Another user said, "The person getting the star pays for the star so l'd think it's Diddys property. So I'm assuming that is why they can't remove it without his permission."

A user said, "We can remove historical statues and monuments though no problem."

While a user wrote, "From Walk of Fame to Walk of Shame."
