MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: The morning of February 8 saw Nikki Haley share a campaign video via Twitter, drawing inspiration from 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!'s 'Mean Tweets' segment in a bold move to take a dig at Donald Trump, but, the late-night host didn't find it entertaining.

Later that day, during his monologue, Kimmel began roasting Haley by disclosing the perplexing text message he received following the release of her Twitter video.

Despite her opposition to Trump, Kimmel still found Haley's name somewhat unfamiliar.

"I woke up I had a text asking 'did you have Haley on the show?'" Kimmel said and added, "It took me a while to figure out what Haley meant. Like Hailey, who, Duff? Haley Joel Osment? I didn’t know."

"I didn't know so I went online and learned that Nikki Haley who is running for her life right now Co-op one of our bits", Kimmel clarified.

However, Kimmel swiftly came across the tweet and didn't hold back in addressing Haley's blatant "co-opting" of the well-known segment.

"She used our bit, our title, our logo, our graphics," Kimmel pointed out. "She called it Nikki Haley Live. And, worst of all, she added the fakest fake laugh track maybe I’ve ever heard," he added.

Kimmel's dissatisfaction with Haley's blatant imitation of his famous segment was palpable, and he doubted that Haley would appreciate a similar gesture directed at her.

Addressing her directly, he questioned, "This is not how it works you can't just take our thing and do it yourself but how would you like it if I launched a disastrous campaign for president?"

Kimmel remarked at his question, saying, "This is why you lost Nevada to ‘None of the Above'," continuing his jest.

The host then concluded his roast by humorously warning Haley that she could expect to hear from his "attorney, Rudolph Giuliani."
