PARIS, FRANCE: Simone Biles, renowned for her transparency about mental and physical health, has revealed her self-care routine from the Paris Olympics, where she secured four medals—three gold and one silver.

In an interview with NBC's 'Today' show, the 27-year-old revealed that she is “resting up as much as possible” following a calf injury sustained during the competition.

Simone Biles says she’ll now focus on ‘rest and heal’

“Right now it’s just precautionary. We’re resting up as much as possible; we have a tour in a couple of weeks. I’m just going to rest and heal,” Simone Biles stated.

She also discussed her mental health, mentioning how she struggled with the “twisties” after the Tokyo Olympics, which had a significant emotional impact on her.

“I saw her about three or four times throughout this whole entire process, and it didn’t matter if it was before all-around or after qualifications,” Biles said about her therapist.

Simone Biles says therapy gives her confidence

Simone Biles continued, “I went back to the village and I got on a call with her and did my therapy session because that’s routine for me now. It just gave me the confidence.”

“We do a lot of visualizations before meets so I just feel comfortable enough and confident enough to compete,” she said.

“But since it's part of my daily routine, we don't want to stop that just because I'm halfway across the world,” Biles added.

This came after Biles shared a GRMW video on TikTok, where she showed her fans the Olympic Village.

“Get ready with meeee [sic] for all around finals @ the Olympics,” she wrote in the caption, as reported by the Daily Mail.

The decorated athlete further shared, “I am really nervous, that is to be expected. I just had therapy this morning so I am feeling a little bit better. I have just worked so hard mentally to get to this moment.”

“Tonight I start vault and I honestly think that's the event I am most nervous for because I don't want to overpower,” she disclosed.

Simone Biles reveals meeting many people at the Paris Olympics triggered her anxiety

Simone Biles also noted that she has not “done much around the Olympic Village. It's because the first day we got here, I got to the cafeteria and a lot of people were asking me for photos non-stop and when I sat down to eat, my anxiety was so bad I was shaking.”

“I could not stop shaking, I was so overwhelmed. I went to the cafeteria to meet my friend but I hadn't been to the cafeteria for five days. I just go to the store and stock up on food and just stay here [in her room] because it gets me so anxious,” she asserted.
