NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update host Colin Jost faced backlash for a distasteful jab at Health Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The longtime co-anchor kicked off the segment by roasting Kennedy's latest controversial comment that circumcised men are supposedly more likely to be autistic.

Colin Jost and Michael Che face backlash over RFK Jr joke on SNL

Sitting beside a photo of RFK Jr making a contorted face, Jost remarked, “Health Secretary RFK Jr, seen here trying to cure cancer with his mind, said this week that men who were circumcised are more likely to be autistic.”

“Which isn’t surprising coming from a man who looks like he’s made out of foreskin,” he quipped. That’s when co-host Michael Che couldn’t resist jumping in. “Not mine!” he quipped, distancing himself from the apparent joke.

The clip was posted to Saturday Night Live’s official X page and sparked immediate backlash. “Can these guys roll off into the sunset already!” one X user griped under SNL’s official post. Another jabbed, “Are SNL writers on strike? Who [sic] writing these lousy skits?”

“Literally the worst. Have either of them ever been funny? Che STILL cannot read a teleprompter after all these years, and Jost is the most insufferably smug mug on TV,” someone else added.

“What happened to SNL? This isn’t even funny. They are trying so hard to hate Trump and his administration, they’ve lost whatever tiny bit of sparkle they had left. Yikes,” another remarked.

SNL mocks Trump and Kristi Noem with TSA parody skit

After skewering RFK Jr, Jost turned his crosshairs on a new video released by the Trump administration that’s set to play for travelers at TSA checkpoints. The clip reportedly features Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem blaming Democrats for flight delays caused by the government shutdown.

“Let’s take a look,” Jost said, setting up what appeared to be a standard SNL cutaway. But instead of Noem, viewers got a surprise appearance from “Jigsaw” (the terrifying puppet from Saw) declaring, “I want to play a game.”

Earlier in the same segment, Jost had already aimed at Trump’s handling of various issues. “There is peace in the Middle East,” he said. “The only downside is there is war in Chicago.”

He added, “Only Trump could Freaky Friday Chicago and Gaza,” referencing the 2003 Lindsay Lohan movie where characters swap bodies. Jost also quipped, “Trump was upset he didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, but the last guy to send heavily armed men into an American city was Bane from Batman.”

Predictably, MAGA supporters on X weren’t thrilled. “Trying to mock Trump every 5 seconds gets real old. It’s also not funny anymore,” one user fumed.

That said, the Weekend Update desk didn’t end on controversy alone. The night wrapped up with a friendly “joke-off” featuring Jost and Che, joined by former anchors Tina Fey, Seth Meyers, and Amy Poehler.
