‘Stop defending abusers’: Tyrese Gibson blasted for defending Diddy amid several sexual assault lawsuits

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Tyrese Gibson has faced people’s wrath online after he reportedly tried to whitewash the image of Sean 'Diddy' Combs, popularly known as Diddy, following raids at his homes and multiple sexual assault allegations.

The 45-year-old actor published a now-deleted lengthy post on his Instagram, supporting the rapper, Daily Mail reported.

Tyrese Gibson says he cannot turn his back on Diddy

He wrote, “What I can't do and what I won't do is downplay the laughter, the fun, the energy, the inspiration, the awards shows, the studio sessions, the most legendary parties and events I've ever attended in my life.”

Gibson further noted, “And I also can't act as if my high school backyard parties throughout south central LA wasn't the craziest parties ever because of the Bad Boy on a slew of hit record[s]. I don't condone nor do I support abuse, bullying, sexual assault, or anything that is currently being alleged.”

He also stated, “But, what I can't do is turn the blinds on how much this means to me and all of us, and what he had done for the community of music and culture.”

Tyrese Gibson called out Hollywood people for not defending Diddy

Not only that, the ‘Baby Boy’ actor even slammed others from Hollywood as he mentioned, “Don't worry, I'm the only one crazy enough to jump out there and say what most of you want to say but you don't have the balls to do so.”

“Because it's very normal for people to be going through a rough patch and we all sit back and make a mockery of it, but I'm not gonna do that. I love this brother he's been nothing but kind and generous towards me and that's the way I feel,” he asserted.

Besides while ending his post, Gibson added, “Praying and praying for more of a better outcome of all of this is happening. God bless you Diddy if you ever need to call me and just need a listening [ear] I'm here bro.”

Internet asks Tyrese Gibson to shut up

But people on the internet did not seem to agree with Gibson as an X user tweeted, “Someone should tell Tyrese that when it comes to "going through a rough patch", the overwhelming majority of people aren't looking at Federal sex trafficking investigations after dual raids on their estates by the Department of Homeland Security.”

Another user wrote, “This is why most people don’t like Tyrese. I wish he would just shut the f*** up. Every 3 months he gets online say something dumb and cry. Now here he comes- captain save a villain. STFU TYRESE!! Damn.”

“So we all find out that Diddy's parties included victims being drugged and SA'ed and Tyrese's first thought is to make sure he tells everyone that he was also at the parties,” one user shared.

A user stated, “Tyrese talking bout he’s praying for the victims but he’s not gonna downplay Diddy’s impact on the culture. Who gives af about that right now?? And let’s not act like Diddy did anything significant. His ideas came from others and he screwed them over. Did he pay those people??”
