'Suits' star Gabriel Macht won't reveal new home's location after leaving US: 'We're exploring the world'
THE BRONX, NEW YORK: Gabriel Macht, best known for his role as Harvey Specter on 'Suits', is embracing a quieter, more private chapter in his life.
In a recent exclusive interview with People, the 53-year-old actor shared that he and his family have moved out of the United States, but he’s keeping the location under wraps.
Gabriel Macht on leaving the US 'to explore the world'
“I am based somewhere in Europe, but I don't tell anybody where I live because I like to keep that under wraps,” Gabriel Macht revealed.
“I got out of town, and we're exploring the world," he said.
Reports suggest that even before Covid-19, Macht and his wife, actress Jacinda Barrett, had envisioned a life beyond the US for their family.
"We had wanted to take our kids out of school and homeschool them,” he explained.
However, the pandemic kept them in Manhattan longer than planned. "That just wasn’t doing it for us," he admitted.
Eventually, the couple decided to take the leap. “We decided to explore the world, so we left,” Macht said.

Their children, 17-year-old Satine and 10-year-old Luca, are now experiencing a globe-trotting lifestyle.
Macht and Barrett, who first met on a blind date in 2000 and married in a private ceremony in 2004, have always prioritized their family.
Gabriel Macht returns to TV with 'Suits LA' after family-focused hiatus
After wrapping up nine seasons of 'Suits' in 2019, Gabriel Macht stepped back from acting to focus on raising his kids and is now a creative partner and executive shareholder in Bear Fight Whiskey.
“I had very little interest in taking on another project because I spent so much time [acting],” he said and continued, “It was time to focus on family and explore other ventures.”
But after a long hiatus, Macht is making his much-anticipated return to the small screen with the reboot 'Suits LA.' For Macht, this project felt like the right fit at the right time.
"It made sense for my family to return now," he shared, adding that he’s excited to “sort of pass the baton to Stephen [Amell] and the cast in LA.”

Fans of Suits were thrilled when Macht reunited with his former co-stars Patrick J Adams, Sarah Rafferty, and Gina Torres at the 2024 Golden Globes.
The group took the stage to announce the winner of the best television drama category, giving fans a nostalgic glimpse of the original cast.
Noticeably absent from the reunion was Meghan Markle, who played Rachel Zane on the show before leaving in 2018 when she became engaged to Prince Harry.
Reportedly, Torres was asked about Markle’s absence on the red carpet, offering a subtle jab.
“When it all came through, we were all texting each other. Yes, our text thread is insane right now. So, it’s very exciting,” Torres said, before adding, “We don’t have her number. We just don’t. So, she’ll see. She’ll watch. She’ll be happy that we’re here.”
While Markle’s absence sparked speculation, Entertainment Tonight reported that she had been invited but couldn’t attend due to a "preexisting commitment."
