PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA: Philadelphia Eagles safety CJ Gardner-Johnson isn’t backing down from his feud with Taylor Swift fans, despite mounting criticism.

At the Eagles’ Super Bowl victory parade on Friday, February 14, the 27-year-old made a clear statement by sporting a sweatshirt that read, "Swifties can LIX my balls."

Eagles' CJ Gardner-Johnson took shots at Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift's romance after Super Bowl victory

This latest jab follows an Instagram Story CJ Gardner-Johnson posted on Monday, where he mocked Travis Kelce, insinuating that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end would have been better off with his ex, Kayla Nicole, instead of dating Taylor Swift.

The move ignited a wave of backlash, not just from the pop star's dedicated fanbase but also from Eagles supporters, as per People

However, she later revealed that the restaurant had been closed since January 25 and was in the process of being sold.

When the stadium’s jumbotron featured Swift, who was there supporting Kelce and the Chiefs, a section of the crowd erupted in boos.

The reception was a stark contrast to the warm welcome she received when she brought her Eras Tour to the same city last October. The 'Lover' singer appeared unfazed by the reaction, exchanging glances with her friends Ice Spice and Ashley Avignone before shaking off the negativity.

Despite the controversy, some NFL players have spoken out in support of Swift. Eagles running back Saquon Barkley expressed his confusion over the hostility during an interview on 'The Howard Stern Show'.

"I remember that they showed her on the jumbotron and she got booed. I don't get it. I don't get why she was getting hate there," he told Stern, who shared the same sentiment.

Barkley went on to acknowledge the impact of Swift’s presence on the sport, saying, "She's made the game bigger. We're trying to expand the game and you know, her being a part of it's only helping that."

CJ Gardner-Johnson faces backlash as he trolls Taylor Swift again during Super Bowl victory parade

While Friday's parade should have been focused on the Eagles' championship victory, CJ Gardner-Johnson's comments about Taylor Swift and her fanbase sparked immediate backlash online. Netizens were quick to call out the NFL star for his fixation on the superstar couple rather than celebrating his own victory.

One wrote, "Just won the Super Bowl but cares more about getting the attention of his competitor’s girlfriend and her fandom," and another added, "Dude won a Super Bowl and is still thinking about KC! Go celebrate your city, man!"

"That’s just gross, disrespectful, and so Philly," a person remarked, while someone else said, "Does he know we are canceling him in no time lol?"

An individual took a more personal jab, stating, "Needs to focus on not being a deadbeat father and less on making shirts about Swifties."

"Men, don’t be like this," a Swiftie wrote. "Let’s not act like he or any of their fans can even read that come on now," one more quipped.

Another person wrote, "Bro got lucky to end on a team that won, he ain't good enough to talk the trash he talks."
