Taraji P Henson parodies Kendrick Lamar's 'Not Like Us' Drake feud diss track at BET Awards
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Taraji P Henson made sure her third BET Awards as a host was no less entertaining than others.
The ‘Empire’ alum began her monologue by performing Kendrick Lamar’s hit ‘Not Like Us’ parody, which got the crowd on their feet.

Keeping the energy up after Megan Thee Stallion's performance, ‘The Color Purple’ actress took to the stage resembling Kendrick Lamar’s attire.
She chose a red hoodie with jeans and a red cap for her act, "Taraji on the beat," Henson rapped and nailed it with the song that Lamar released amid his feud with fellow rapper Drake.
While the rapper had taken shots at Drake, Henson improvised it to celebrate Black culture, rapping, "It's about us."
During the Sunday, June 30, event, Henson also touched on a recent CNN presidential debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump, according to ET.
"[This is] a show packed full of all-stars with Black jobs. Whatever that means. But clearly, we know there's a difference. Thanks for the info, but we already knew it," she said.
Henson previously hosted the BET Awards in 2021, where she honored Black women for playing their part in evolving pop culture. The actress especially mentioned, Zendaya, Jazmine Sullivan, Issa Rae, and "Queen" Maxine Waters.
