Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes decide not to be part of Bravo's Chiefs WAGs reality show, here's why
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Internationally renowned singer Taylor Swift has chosen not to participate in Bravo's upcoming reality show featuring the wives and girlfriends of the Kansas City Chiefs.
In addition, Brittany Mahomes will also be absent from the show. According to sources, neither will be involved in any filming for the reality TV series.
"Taylor and Brittany are not part of the show at all and will not even be filmed,” the source said.
Taylor Swift's desire for privacy leads to her decision to skip Bravo's Chiefs WAGs show
Sources have exclusively informed PEOPLE that "Taylor especially is very protective of what little private life she has left."
"She enjoys all the ladies she's met, but she will not be a part of Bravo's storyline,” the source further added. Meanwhile, it has been reported that Bravo's forthcoming show focusing on the chief WAGs is currently in the filming stage.
The cast has not been finalized yet. Potential cast members may include Mecole Hardman Jr's fiancee Chariah Gordon and Sheawna Weathersby, as well as defensive tackle Chris Jones.
"There's still lots to figure out, including who would be a part of the final cast and whether there's enough there to build a full series around. It's very much a work in progress," the source said.
Bravo series pilot was shot during NFL's offseason
An additional source informed that the Bravo series pilot was shot during the NFL's offseason, with the Chiefs players having only brief appearances.
"The action is all centered around Chariah and Sheawna and their group of friends, who all know the struggles of being partners to these workaholic athletes," the second source remarked.
Brittany is expecting her third child with her husband, Patrick Mahomes. They are already parents to their daughter, Sterling Skye, born in February 2021, and their son, Patrick "Bronze" Lavon, born in November 2022.
Though Swift will not join Gordon or Weathersby on the new Bravo series, the 'Fortnight' singer was recently seen with the WAGs at the Chiefs' game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium on September 15.
