Reflecting on past beauty trends she used to follow, she expressed distaste for certain looks, including the "winged eyeliner" and "red lip"—both signature elements of Taylor Swift's style.

“I wore a red lip every day. I would never do that anymore,” Bechtel said, adding, “I think a red lip is my least favorite makeup look. It’s just not for me anymore.”

Lauren and Chan, hosts of 'Pop Apologists', took notice of Bechtel’s remarks and speculated that the model’s comments were a thinly veiled jab at Swift, who briefly dated Healy in 2023 but split one month later.

“I think to Swiftie Nation, this is a cold-blooded dig,” Chan said, while her co-host and sister Lauren added, “[She may as well have said] ‘I don’t do my makeup like Taylor Swift who’s so cheugy.’”

“It’s so stupid and petty if she did,” Chan remarked.

Lauren even suggested that Bechtel’s comment could be linked to Swift’s song 'The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,' from 'The Tortured Poets Department' album, which allegedly targets Healy.

Lauren explained, “She said, ‘he does not measure up to any measure of a man'. This was a dig at his manhood. 100 percent.”
