Blake Lively has revealed that her upcoming movie 'It Ends with Us' will feature a song by her close friend Taylor Swift. The film, based on Colleen Hoover's novel, includes Swift's track 'My Tears Ricochet' in its official trailer. During a recent Q&A panel at Book Bonanza, an event co-founded by Hoover, Lively explained the connection between the song and the film. She said, "Them together made a lot of sense," emphasizing how the themes of the song and the story align perfectly.

'My Tears Ricochet', a 2020 track produced by Jack Antonoff and Joe Alwyn, is about a dead woman's cry haunting her murderer. The lyrics convey deep emotions of betrayal and haunting memories, which resonate with the movie's protagonist, Lily Bloom, who faces a cycle of domestic abuse. Lively praised both Hoover and Swift, noting their ability to create deeply personal yet widely relatable work. She said, "Colleen is able to tell something that’s deeply personal and intimate but is able to resonate with so many people," and added, "Taylor, she’s such an incredible writer. She writes from such personal experiences and vulnerability."

Joe Alwyn has finally opened up about his breakup with pop star Taylor Swift, describing their relationship as "long, loving," and "fully committed" in an interview with The Sunday Times Style. The actor, 33, shared insights on their six-and-a-half-year romance and how their separation has been challenging. “In thinking on what I was going to say, I would think and hope that anyone and everyone can empathize. … This isn’t a direct answer to your question, but just thinking about what I want to talk about,” he responded.

Alwyn expressed his hopes that people could understand the complexities and emotional difficulties associated with ending a long-term relationship. “I would hope that anyone and everyone can empathize and understand the difficulties that come with the end of a long, loving, fully committed relationship of over six-and-a-half years. Joe Alwyn has addressed a specific reference made by his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift in her song 'The Black Dog', from her latest album 'The Tortured Poets Department'. In an interview with The Sunday Times, Alwyn denied ever visiting the London pub mentioned in the song.

The actor, who was in a relationship with Swift for six and a half years, recently opened up about their breakup, describing it as "long, loving, and fully committed." He shared insights into his personal life, mentioning his usual activities like seeing friends, traveling, and going to pubs. When asked specifically about the pub referenced in Swift's song, he responded, "I’ve never been to Vauxhall," referring to the location of The Black Dog in London. The publication noted that Alwyn’s response was accompanied by a smile that suggested there might be more to the story.

Fans have speculated that some of the songs on Swift's 'The Tortured Poets Department' are inspired by her relationship with Alwyn. However, Swifties have also linked 'The Black Dog' to another former suitor, Matty Healy, with whom Swift briefly dated in 2023.

The lyrics of 'The Black Dog' reference someone walking into the pub, which seems to cause Swift emotional pain, "I am someone who until recent events / You shared your secrets with / And your location, you forgot to turn it off. And so I watch as you walk / Into some bar called The Black Dog / And pierce new holes in my heart."

Swift keeps singing: "I just don't understand how you don't miss me / In The Black Dog, when someone plays The Starting Line."
