WASHINGTON, DC: A recent poll suggests that Taylor Swift's endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Tim Walz, could potentially repel more voters than it garners.

After the presidential debate on Tuesday, September 10, the pop star declared her support for the Democratic nominee.

YouGov's post-debate poll, published on Saturday, found that only 8% of voters said that the 'Lover' singer's endorsement would make them "somewhat" or "much more likely" to vote for the Democratic ticket.

Internet mocks Taylor Swift as poll states her endorsement of Kamala Harris may repel voters

Soon after the results of the YouGov poll were published, netizens took to social media platforms to share their opinions on the endorsement.

One wrote, "Turns me away from listening to her anymore. I don’t respect her at all now."

Another expressed, "We don't give a flying FCK who Hollyweirdos endorse. We're not the same. They live in a bubble. That worked in 2016 but it's an old Obama trick. We will vote opposite and boycott them moving forward. Americans are PISSED OFF and tired of being gaslit."

"Just another in a history of bad choices by Swift," remarked a person and an individual echoed, "Everyone knows she has bad taste in picking people."

"Her entire career is choosing the wrong person. not just in relationships she supportin the ones that took her music," wrote one more.

Another person said, "Seriously, celebrity endorsements should have no impact on who you vote for either way. They may impact whether you go see their next movie or buy their next album, but you have to be insane to let them influence how you vote."
