DELANO, CALIFORNIA: As Danny Masterson adjusts to life behind bars, the internet mocks his lack of privileges. The former 'That '70s Show' star has begun his sentence at North Kern State Prison, where he will undergo a strict 90-day orientation process with limited privileges before transitioning to the general population, as per TMZ.

Masterson was convicted on two counts of forcible rape in September 2023, and sentenced to 30 years to life behind bars.

Danny Masterson will go through 90-day reception and classification process with strict limitations

According to the California Department of Corrections’ official procedures, Masterson will go through a 90-day reception and classification process with strict limitations. For at least the first three months of his sentence, Masterson will be in 'privilege group U' which allows no family visits, extremely limited access to any entertainment, and no access to personal belongings.

The disgraced actor is permitted one phone call within his first week in North Kern. After that, he will only be allowed one monthly call for the remainder of the orientation period. While Masterson can still access the exercise yard and basic recreation services, he will not receive full prison privileges until his classification process concludes in 90 days.

Sources close to Masterson say he has shown “exceptional strength of mind and spirit” while incarcerated pre-trial. He remains hopeful about the chances of appealing his conviction and sentence.

Danny Masterson enjoyed years of fame before sexual assault allegations derailed his career

Masterson enjoyed years of fame and steady acting work before sexual assault allegations derailed his career starting in 2017. He was fired from the Netflix series 'The Ranch' that year and formally charged with raping three women back in 2020.

After a weeks-long retrial this fall, a jury convicted Masterson of forcibly raping two women in separate incidents from 2001-2003. In addition to his 30-year-to-life sentence in state prison, Masterson must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Masterson continues to deny all charges and claims the sexual encounters in question were consensual. His lawyer has stated plans to appeal the conviction.
