'The View's Ana Navarro hugs 'cousin' Amy Schumer after surprising revelation about their 'DNA thread'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The View' co-host Ana Navarro and Amy Schumer reportedly had a sweet reunion after they discovered they are related to each other.
The comedian appeared on the Monday, February 3, episode of ‘The View’, where Navarro told her, “The host of 'Finding Your Roots' on PBS, was here last week. He traced your ancestry some seasons ago. It turns out, you and I have something in common,” as reported by PEOPLE.
Both the women had been to Henry Louis Gates Jr's ancestry show 'Finding Your Roots'.

Schumer then happily said, “Cousin! Cousin!” before she and the Nicaraguan-American strategist hugged each other.
Amy Schumer thinks she and Ana Navarro should ‘hang out more’
Navarro went on to ask the 43-year-old actress, “Did you know there were wandering Schumers in Nicaragua? How did this happen?”
But Schumer was more excited about gaining a new relative as she answered, “I had no idea but I’m so honored. We have to start hanging out more.”
Navarro, however, jokingly warned her that their outings would “ruin your reputation”, before noting, “But you know what? Maybe because maybe ICE won’t take me if I’m hanging out with a blonde like you.”

Ana Navarro may share family history with Chuck Schumer
The commentator reportedly got to learn a few more new things about her family background in Nicaragua in an October 2017 episode of ‘Finding Your Roots’.
At the time, she said, “I was surprised to know I have an unbroken DNA thread with Amy Schumer, which also means [Senator] Chuck Schumer. I don't know this is my reputation and his reputation. Oh, Lord!”
Apart from Schumer, Navarro also discovered that one of her ancestors was a slave.
“I've always been very touched by stories about slavery, about civil rights, but now they're not just abstract history. Now it's also my own history. And so to know that I've got that inside of me was very meaningful,” she stated.
The 53-year-old TV personality further noted, “How we look on the outside may not be the entire story. Too often today, we get hung up on labels.”
“You know, whether you're White, whether you're Brown, whether you're Black, whether you're this, whether you're that, whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, a conservative, a progressive — don't get full hung up on these external label because a lot of times, what's going on internally is much different,” Navarro added.
