NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: On the Thursday, May 30 episode, the hosts of 'The View' welcomed Rep Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) by playing a remix song inspired by her recent viral remark about Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Crockett had previously criticized Greene's appearance, describing her as having a “bleached blonde, bad-built, butch body,” during a heated House Oversight Committee hearing earlier this month.

The incident began when Greene mocked Crockett's “fake eyelashes,” prompting a sharp response from Crockett and swift condemnation from other representatives, including Rep Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).

As Crockett was introduced on 'The View', she received a massive round of applause, especially after the show aired a series of clips culminating in her retort to Greene.

"You went viral for putting Marjorie Taylor Greene in her place, and there have been countless remixes, which I play often," co-host Whoopi Goldberg remarked before introducing what she dubbed the "song of the summer".

A pop tune featuring Crockett’s "butch body" insult on repeat then played.

Goldberg danced at the table while the song played, and Crockett applauded when Goldberg mentioned the various "remixes" circulating online.

The segment with Crockett ended with the song being played again.

Addressing critics of her decision to trademark the insult and create merchandise, Crockett explained that her campaign trademarked the phrase to raise funds "to help save our democracy".

She contrasted this with Trump, accusing him of selling merchandise, including Bibles and shoes, for personal gain.

“There was a demand. I’m a business major who also was a lawyer so the two things came together,” she said, adding, “This is about making sure we can raise the moneys. It’s so that I can help save our democracy.”
