LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Newsmax host Greg Kelly criticized Taylor Swift's fans, describing their passion as idolatry and, therefore, a sin. Kelly expressed his views in a segment following Swift's attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs' Super Bowl victory over the Baltimore Ravens.

While Swift's boyfriend, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, had a notable performance, Kelly focused on condemning Swift's fans for what he perceived as excessive worship.

Kelly also expressed concern that Taylor Swift's popularity could be utilized against the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement and in favor of Democrats.

Kelly appeared to reference a debunked far-right theory that suggested Swift was being recruited as a Pentagon asset.

The theory questioned whether Swift was a front for a covert political agenda. Fox News host Jesse Watters had brought up the notion, acknowledging the lack of evidence but expressing curiosity.

He also hinted at a conspiracy involving Travis Kelce, Swift's boyfriend, predicting they would endorse Biden "at the moment of truth." Former GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has also mentioned a similar theory.

Kelly further fueled suspicion around Swift, questioning what is known about her despite her well-documented personal and professional life.

Netizens respond to absurd Taylor Swift claims

Now, after all this fiasco, netizens have come forth to express their views on the matter.

A comment read, "They’re either jealous or scared. Taylor Swift has more fans then Ted Nugent and Lara Trump combined."

"The hypocrisy is staggering. Greg Kelly accuses 'they' elevate Taylor Swift to an idol while the right worships Trump as God-sent 'divine intervention' and creates gilt statues (CPAC), paintings, and memes idolizing the sexual abuser/4X indicted loser," said another.

"Idolatry, exalting a human to messianic stature, doesn’t apply to Taylor. It’s a head-on indictment of Trump," a user pointed out.

"She was an idol, long before this nonsense! It’s amazing how one young, talented and successful woman could have such an impact on the MAGA crowd!" someone else noted.

"Idolatry a sin huh?" another asked with a laughing emoji.
