LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Selena Gomez and Emily Blunt have become the latest internet sensation after the duo playfully mocked the prestigious award ceremony, Golden Globes hosted by comedian Jo Koy following a viral incident of Lip-Reading Drama.

At the 2023 American Film Institute Awards in Los Angeles on Friday, the actresses humorously responded to recent speculations about their alleged conversations at the Golden Globe Awards by striking a pose.

Their attempt at humor didn't resonate with the internet audience, leading to them being ridiculed online.

Blunt and Emily posed for a photograph at the American Film Institute Awards luncheon on January 12, which celebrated the 2023 honorees, with their hands covering their mouths.

The star of 'Only Murders in the Building' subsequently shared the image on her Instagram Stories, captioning it with "We shall not speak lol," per ENews.

Their response to the amusing reference to the stir created by their Globes appearances — which led to fans conjecturing about Blunt and her husband John Krasinski's interaction, and rumors about Gomez gossiping about Timothee Chalamet and Kylie Jenner at the awards — was noteworthy.

However, the singer later refuted these allegations and clarified the subject of her conversation.

"Noooooo I told Taylor about two of my friends who hooked up. Not that that’s [anyone's] business," the singer wrote.

In the meantime, a video from the Globes shared by CBS on TikTok led some fans to believe that Blunt and her 44-year-old husband Krasinski were talking about a "divorce" while on the event’s red carpet.

The clip captured the couple sharing a quick conversation while they laughed and posed for a picture together.

The online community quickly ridiculed the lip-reading drama involving Selena Gomez and Emily Blunt, indicating that it wasn't "funny."

"Oh wow. So not funny." commented a user on Facebook

One user wrote, "Reminds me of that Seinfeld episode where he and George covered their mouths."

"Like they are so super interesting," claimed another.

"Then don't talk about private stuff at an award show, where cameras are everywhere, especially when your expression and body language is "dramatic", a user remarked.

"Lip reading is not a new thing. They are professionals, they knew this will happen. They wanted the drama."

One person joked, "Are they adults? Because this is cringy teen behavior...."

"I think they just had stank breath," noted another.

Another responded, "Hard to believe anyone would waste their time reading lips!"
