LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: JoJo Siwa has found herself at the receiving end of internet flak after revealing she has spent $50K on one particular cosmetic procedure.

Recently, the 20-year-old ‘Dance Moms’ alum attended the 2024 GLAAD Media Awards where she candidly spoke about the cost of her teeth veneers.

As she appeared on the show, the musician was asked what was the most expensive item that she was wearing.

The ‘Karma’ singer wasted no time sharing that her teeth were the costliest thing of her entire appearance.

As she was asked the question, Siwa joked, "My teeth," before adding, "These motherf**kers cost me 50 grand," per E! News.

It was, however, not the first time when she talked about her teeth, as during a live stream in 2023, Siwa revealed that she has had veneers on her teeth and they looked bright white because she had "picked out the whitest color."

Nevertheless, Siwa getting veneers is part of her glow-up that she has adopted ever since rebranding her image.

During an appearance at the iHeartradio Music Awards on April 1, she debuted a mature style and ditched her signature ponytail. 

She told E! News while walking the red carpet, "People are afraid of things they don't know," before adding, "Things can be scary for people. New things can be very, very scary."

Though she has shocked her audience and received backlash, the young media personality is not ready to let that get in the way of her success. She is rather more focused on getting validation from fellow artists like Lil Nas X and Meghan Trainor. “Support from people like that means the world to me,” Siwa added.

Siwa continued in the interview, "The way that I'm able to keep going and keep being like, 'Wait, actually what I'm doing is right'."

She added, "It is because some of the most respected people in the world have come up to me and been like, 'What you're doing right now is so right. It is what the world needs, and I'm learning from what you are doing right now'."

Internet was not at all pleased with JoJo Siwa's declaration that she spent $50K on her teeth as the readers took to Facebook to share their opinions.

One of the social media users said, "This kid tries too hard!"

Someone else said, "We call this a distraction from her recent and ongoing allegations."

"What's she trying to prove? Something seriously wrong with the showbiz environment if this is how most of the kids grow out of it," observed one user.

Another detractor said, "A clear sign that she has brain damage."

"Well she needs to ask for a refund. She can get that look for $5 at a face painting fundraiser," quipped someone else.

Another netizen chimed in, "Oh boy an terrible role model for the children."

"This 20 year old girl, had all her good teeth shaved down to nubs to get new teeth? Man..," wrote another user expressing their frustration.
