MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Jimmy Kimmel humorously remarked on the true purpose behind former President Donald Trump's visit to the Mexican border, scheduled alongside current President Joe Biden on February 29.

Kimmel playfully proposed that with just two additional senior citizens joining them, the occasion could transform into a pickleball match. Additionally, he hinted at the stark contrast in their agendas during his recent segment on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live.'

Jimmy Kimmel quips about Trump's border visit and sneaker ventures

On the night of February 27, Kimmel quipped, "The president is going to see what can be done to solve the border crisis. Trump is going to make sure he doesn’t solve what’s happening at the border."

He contrasted Biden's intention to meet with US border agents with Trump's humorous hypothetical plan to peddle golden high tops on the streets of Juárez.

Earlier this month, Trump unveiled a new line of sneakers at Sneaker Con. Dubbed the "Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker," they are priced at $399 per pair.

Kimmel also playfully jabbed at Trump's connection with two women named Stormy, subtly referencing the notorious hush money scandal involving Stormy Daniels.

“While Trump is planning to sell golden high tops on the streets of harez, Don Julio took to Truth Social yesterday to post not one, but 15 endorsements for Texas lawmakers. They were all pretty much copy-and-paste jobs, but one name in particular stood out. One of the people he endorsed is Stormy Bradley, who — another Stormy?” the Late Night host said.

Kimmel added, saying, “Who knows two Stormys? I wonder if he’ll write this Stormy a check too."

Continuing the banter, Kimmel roped in Senator Ted Cruz, recalling Cruz's controversial departure from Texas after a snowstorm wreaked havoc on the state's power grid in February 2021.

He jokingly said, “When Ted Cruz heard about this Stormy in Texas, he immediately boarded a flight to Cancun."

“Trump sees the border as a key point of attack against Biden, even going too far as to strong-arm Republicans in Congress to renege on a deal they made to help secure it. Trump’s funny because he goes from a topic like the border, which plays very well for him even though he himself did nothing meaningful to the security," he added.

"He goes from screaming about issues Americans actually do care about to yelling about things that don’t even exist," Kimmel continued.

Many viewers shared their opinions in the show's comment section, with one humorously expressing, "A lifelong diet of coke, plus speed, plus fast food, equals an impending heart attack for Trump."
